Came to check this place out while on the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway excited to try something as the reviews looked promising. We had to use the restroom before we ordered and everything seemed normal. My partner requires special assistance when using the restroom, so I joined them in the restroom which we never have issues with. Suddenly, the owner got extremely aggressive and hostile yelling for us to exit the restroom immediately almost to the point of a physical altercation, kicking us out and threatening to call the police for no apparent reason. We tried to explain that we were very interested in making a purchase to which the owner continued with his aggressive behavior in front of other customers, once again threatening to call the police and kicking us out. We were caught extremely off guard by this situation and couldn’t understand why this had happened. I have no idea if the food is good, however, I would absolutely not recommend this restaurant to anyone if this is the way you can expect to be treated as a paying customer, especially with special disabilities. Extremely disrespectful and disgusting behavior from the owner with absolutely no willingness to understand. Do not support such unprofessional and discriminatory behavior! We will not be back, and I hope you will do the same....
Read moreMatthew, the owner, is as nice of a person as they come. The small store is extremely quaint and very welcoming. It may be small but there is more than enough space to please just about any palette related to Middle Eastern/ Mediterranean style. The shawarma’s are exactly what I expected and remember from my time in Saudi Arabia. The gyros are very tasty and the falafel was the best I’ve ever tried. His hand made hummus is like none I’ve ever tried….super creamy and chock full of flavor!!!! His homemade baklava was rich and delicious. If you are ever in the this cool little town near Blue Ridge then you MUST go and see and taste something like you’ve never had! If you are new to this kind of food then it is the best first experience you could ask for. It will definitely be on my list for an annual visit on our...

He really puts his heart and soul into everything which energetically you can feel! It’s like you’re part of the family and that comfort is very honorable! I highly recommend my top three favorites- the freshly made mint tea, spinach fatayer, and grape leaves! Seriously everything on the menu is sooooo fresh and quality!!! Oooo and the homemade baklava is out of this world! In addition to eating there, there is options of taking home food to have for the week! Best food option in McCaysville!!!!!
