Blue Ridge Scenic Railway Gift Shop — Local services in McCaysville

Got to tour the city because I went on the Scenic Railway. I was inside the store when I got a phone call from the rest of my party trying to meet up since we got separated. The employee told me , “loitering wasn’t allowed, phone calls need to be taken outside”.

I was window shopping while I took the phone call and I was not obnoxiously talking on the phone either. When my phone rang, it was on vibrate too!!!

Overall It was a very rude comment considering I was only inside the store for less than 5 minutes. The store clearly wanted me out and I gladly left.

Apparently the owner has a history of harassing past customers who leave bad reviews so I hope that doesn’t happen to me for leaving...

Door was locked during business hours. There was a group of people waiting at the door to shop. I asked the ticket booth why the gift shop wasnt open 30 minutes before a train departure, which is prime time souvenir shopping for a 5 year old little boy who is about to ride the train. They said they had no clue, that maybe the clerk had gone to the restroom, but the shop should be open. It never did open. Oh well! Disregard any businesses hours you see posted since clearly they don't...
