Tooneys is at the top of my list for music venues! Emily and Josh Hawkins are the best! I had never been there before and I had several concerns because of my health issues. I sent them a message and got a reply back in less than 30 minutes! They went above and beyond to make sure my needs were met on the day of the show. The venue itself is amazing! It has a great layout inside with plenty of seating. The stage is really cool and the sound system was awesome! They serve alcohol but they also have a soda fountain with free refills! I did not get to try any of their food but everything I saw looked really good. The entire venue was very neat and clean. The bathroom for the ladies was spotless and very well supplied, even at the end of the night. The experience I had at Tooneys deserves way more than the five stars you’re allowed on a review. Read moreBeing big fans of the Red Clay Strays, we were excited to see that they would be playing in McCaysville. Great job, Tooneys, in getting such an amazing group to come perform! We had some questions before the concert. Emily was very gracious in responding, and we had a great time. We arrived about 6:45 to be sure to get seats. (Doors open at 7:00; seating for about 175). We picked up dinner to bring in and eat before the show and purchased drinks at the bar. Well staffed, and good crowd. Only negative was a less than great sound system; the sound quality could be better. Overall, a great experience, though, and we’ll be watching for upcoming shows. Thanks again for bringing in...
Read moreFirst time here & last one too. Every surface in the entire place is reflective material with zero acoustic anything.
The opening act was the very talented Jake Kohn, a 15 yr old kid playing an electric acoustic set that was terrible due to the house operated sound board cranking the volume to max causing repeated screeching feedback. Absolutely horrible.
The main act was Red Stray Clays, a cool country rockabilly group with some great material that was again ruined by the bouncing barn of sound called Tooney's today sent their performance directly into the toilet.
