Today they lost my future business. It has nothing at all to do with the food, which is very good. It was all about customer service. The woman working the counter was very curt and getting more rude as we went along with our order. Not sure if she was angry because we interrupted her conversation with the worker(s) in the back or if it was something else entirely, namely race. Regardless of the reason, it was completely uncalled for and has soured my past experiences with this location to the point I will not be returning. This person has decided that instead of being a decent person to ensure repeat business, to be ignorant and rude to ensure potential customers will not be returning. Disgusting! Do better, be better! I came in being respectful and treating you like a fellow human being. You could do the same in return! Oh look, a very generic and disingenuous reply from the "owner". I decided to check out other bad reviews and see it's the exact same response to each one. Even complaints matching my own from weeks to months ago, and the problem persists meaning it's also a lie. Take this into consideration, there are too many other Jamaican places nearby to continue with this charade of chicanery. The young lady in the picture Marcella was very unfriendly and both women there didn't seem like they wanted to work. I attempted to pay for my food with my Samsung pay and the register declined it for some reason and asked for the card to be presented. Instead of knowing how to properly reset the machine Marcella told be my card doesn't work after two tries and then did the same procedure in a different machine again not knowing how to properly use it. After I paid in cash she invited me to stay behind and watch other customers pay with their card so she could prove it was my card that didn't work. I decided to eat there, and sure enough she yells across the room that she told me everyone else's card would work.Now I call my bank and confirm that no transaction was presented. So I go back to Marcella and ask her to process the payment for a Ting without me trying to use Samsung Pay and it works!! She now is baffled as to why she was wrong saying my card didn't work. Read moreVery upset that I came in around 930am craving ackee and saltfish on Saturday morning of last week. I stood in line behind 2 other customers, watching the large quantity of ackee and saltfish they had knowing for a fact they would have enough left for me. As I'm standing behind the gentleman in front of me, I over hear the lady behind the counter tell the customer "I'm going to give you extra but don't tell nobody." And proceeds to give the gentleman two heaping servings of the ackee and saltfish overfilling his container. She didn't bother to ask me if I wanted any, that could have been an additional sell for the company but she gave it away for free. I asked her did she have anymore in the back and she replied with an attitude "The ackee and saltfish done." I just walked out disappointed. I'll find out that woman's name I would like to report her.
