10-14-18 - Took family for dinner here on Sunday. Crowded and got in and seated under the 45 minute wait we were told. Very friendly patrons while we waited. We were seated, but didn't meet our server till later. Food was replenished better than last time, and would've preferred the fried fish instead of country fried steak. Fried green tomatoes were better this time. Server was great, and even though she worked two different areas, she made sure we were taken care of. Food was good and hot. The servers together were a team, especially when a patron had a bad experience. They cleaned up the area, tried to minimize the attention, and took care of people in their areas at same time. 9-14-18 - Wife took me here as a surprise. Reviews were right about Friday, but were able to get in and seated right away. Waitresses were great, took up the used plates, and kept the Arnold Palmer's coming. Saw a coworker and her family there. After weeks of trying they were able to get in. Our servers were polite, mannerable, and professional. The food was good, but certain items were seasoned better than others. The fish was hot and ok. The vegetables were on point. Even the ones I didn't get. The corn was fresh and the bomb. The fried chicken was ok. Even had cheese grits, but not thr othet type of shrimp to make shrimp and grits. There was salad, fruit, assorted breads, and desserts also. Was not as big as most buffet restaurants, and parking wjen crowded is tricky. The area is nice, changing, and more to do and see. At times the food gets low and needs restocking and may take longer than normal to ger fresh food. Asked one restocker on several different occassions and each time, in a certain tone the reply was it's coming or being made. With Fried Tomatoes in the name I would think this item would not need restocking. I had to wait a while, and you have to selective since the batter came off several of them, and some were overcooked. But overall I would come back to this location.

It is with a heavy heart I have to give them 1 star today as this was my favorite place to eat here in McDonough. I absolutely love their ranch, but this hair in my salad ruined that for me. The nail in the coffin was when the manager came to tell me it was probably from another customer and told me I could get another one. Well of course I can it’s a buffet. That wasn’t my point. We tried to wait for them to bring out more yams, dressing, and broccoli casserole since salad wasn’t another option for me, but after 25 minutes I gave up on that. Last, our waitress didn’t check on us once. She literally checked on all the customers around us and never said anything to us after bringing us our drinks. She brought us both 2 each (2 Sprites/2 teas) at the same time like she didn’t want to be bothered to return to our table. We went at 4pm, and they weren’t busy at all! I won’t be returning anytime soon. We used to come weekly. Edit: Returned to give them another try. The salad bar of course is my favorite so that’s mainly what I ate. The fried green tomatoes were saturated with grease and flimsy. The sausage was cold, but they do have soup again. Overall it’s decent for the price. I’m sure the quality of the food depends on the time of day you come. 2.5 stars. Oh yeah, Massey was our server this time, and she’s pleasant, so that aspect of my visit was a solid 4! Returned again, I love their ranch. It’s hit or miss with the rest depending on the cook. Of course I returned again. Sara was our server. She was friendly and attentive. This time the tomatoes were amazing. The yams and corn bread were a no go today. The ranch was on point as usual. No more hairs. Updated salad pic included.

When first walking into the establishment there was maybe three different lines to the cash registers, you couldn't exactly tell which was which. But I do remember the manager specifically telling me that I was in the wrong line and I had to get into the back of a different line in not such a nice manner, mind you I was with my daughter at the time and the manager simply had no remorse of how long I've been waiting or anything. Anyways when the lines started to extend to the doors, the same manager started to tell folks we had to wait outside in the 40 degree weather, with or without children. I guess maybe she was having a bad day or something Idk, but the way she was treating other guest was totally not what I expected after reading some really nice reviews on this place. Now besides the manager the other staff were cool and welcoming. I spent $25.00 in total on both the food and tip which is atleast $5 to $10 cheaper than golden corral. The food was also good and fresh, no complaints at all there. I would have definitely given this place a 5 star if the manager wasn't so unfriendly. I do recommend for friends and family...

I was going to clearly give this restaurant a good rating until I just spoke with the manager about a concern that I had, and I told her ma’am I’m going to have write a review on your customer service and her exact words were do what you want to do so I am going to do just that!! I must be honest the food and my waitress were really good. I have to say that much but the service is atrocious..

I’ll try to tell my story as quickly as possible, but I must get my point across. I dined in today and I got up to get dessert and there was this seasoned lady waiting for my table. The waitress had already informed the lady that the table is occupied. I didn’t pay it any attention right away until the lady asked me, I see that you have your dessert so you must be leaving in just a minute. I kind of brushed it off and said no ma’am I’m not sure when I’ll be leaving. The lady came back and said, but you have your dessert and most people get ready to leave after their dessert, again I brushed it off, trying not to get irritated. The lady asked me again so you don’t know when you’re going to leave at that point I did have to say ma’am when I’m finished I will leave. I must remind you that there were other tables around us. She specifically wanted that one I found out why at a later time she went back to the front. I didn’t think anything else of the situation. The waitress came back to me and said ma’am you really don’t have to move, each customer has 75 minutes at the table some take longer, but I don’t want you to feel obligated to move . I said well I don’t feel obligated to move, but I do have concerns about the staff given this lady a chair facing me watching me until I’m finished. Other customers heard the conversation and was like .,,that they really just give her that chair and again the waitress is like I’m so sorry you really don’t have to move or leave. At this time I had only been there 35-40 minutes as I viewed the time on my receipt As I’m just eating not thinking anything else about it. The lady starts talking to the people in the front and she made it known that she still waiting on the lady to move, (which is me) or leave so that she can get the tables I honestly could have been very nasty to this lady in which she was a older lady, but I respect my elders…. I do I respect them to the fullest but at this point, you’re acting rude and you’re acting privileged. I then ask the waitress is there something special about this table that warrants her to want to sit here because it was near the window she said well she comes in here a lot. She’s usually here about 2 to 3 hours And she wants to watch her car out of the window because she doesn’t want anyone to steal her car and I said oh I was thinking maybe this was a special table for her or her husband or something like that but something in my mind still told me not to be overly hyped, so at this point I’m just uncomfortable with the lady just sitting watching me and I know the others around me were saying if I were you, I would not move, but it put me in an uncomfortable situation. When I spoke to the manager, she had absolutely no care in the world which leads me to believe the lady was a regular, which is fine, but she had absolutely no concerns about my concerns and I said well, ma’am I am going to write a review to the public This manager told me , “do what you want to do” II DONT CARE!! 🤯 So here it is, I’m doing just that that! This restaurant doesn’t have to worry about spending my hard earned money there anymore. No accountability for their actions at all!! I am going to tell all of my family and friends about my experience, but the service of the management was atrocious.!!! If she DONT CARE about her business...

Visited May 2022 I have visited the buffet 3x in the past month. Once myself, once with my wife, and then with a friend. All different days of the week. Each day they serve some things different. You pay for your meal in advance, and there is no way to leave a tip on the receipt. The cashier asks you if you would like cash back when you first go in, and cash back for paying a tip. If you are using a credit card, be aware some companies charge insane amounts of interest or fees for getting out cash off a credit card. Debit cards do not do this.

The foods are mainly American traditional and southern foods. Examples are collard greens, loose corn, steamed cabbage, flat green beans, yams, fried/roasted chicken, spaghetti, mashed potatoes with skins... Each time I have went, the buffet line always had the 1 or 2 disposable gloves in a state of empty. The carpet and floor each time had food on it not being picked up in multiple places. Not just crumbs, but a piece of chicken, part of a roll, green beans... The carpet looks like it hasn't been cleaned in ages. On one occasion the male table cleaner simply cleared the dishes. Took a wet rag and wiped everything on the table, onto the floor. Didn't spray to sterilize. He did this at a couple tables. Some of it going onto the seats and being left. .

Once seated your waitresses ask you what you would like to drink. Coke products are served.

The food for the most part is pretty good. The chicken breast on all 3 visits for all 3 styles has been overcooked and dry. The thighs and drumsticks were good. The breaded fish was overcooked also each time. Several of the desserts on each visit were empty and not being refilled.

The price is fair for including a drink.

My issue is the cleanliness mainly. If the areas observable to the customers are being neglected, and not properly cleaned, what are they doing in the kitchen and drink area...

While I like the variety of food served and the price, I will not be back due to the...
