Baskin-Robbins — Restaurant in McKinney

The manager’s name is Himesh and he has no clue about customer service or courtesy. We went to this location many times over the years, but will never go back. My daughter learned of a free ice cream promotion they were doing for the day. If you ordered an ice cream through their app you got a free ice cream. When I did it through the app it worked fine minus the fact I had to pay a small up charge for the cone. When she ordered her’s the app wouldn’t process. It would just loop and the final order button wouldn’t do anything. While it wasn’t the store’a fault for a buggy app Himesh could have made it right by just giving her the small ice cream when she showed him what the app was doing, especially considering how many times we had been there over the years. When he wouldn’t give her her ice cream we left. I obviously wasn’t going to take my ice cream in such a situation even though I had partially paid for it already, and was essentially getting ripped off. I informed him how rude he was being, but he didn’t care at all. I instead took her down the road, and we had much better ice cream together at Braum’s.

If you ever consider going to this place keep driving a little further down El Dorado to Braum’s. You’ll have a far better experience.

UPDATE: After reporting this incident to Baskin Robbin's corporate offices the following day they never got back with me. They also never refunded the charge even though no product was ever given. I reported this to my credit card company, and they forced the refund from Baskin Robbin's successfully. I will never go to a Baskin...

I cannot say enough good things about this Baskin Robbins location and more specifically Himesh. My daughter has been sick with the flu for the past week and her birthday is today. I only had time yesterday to go out and search for a birthday cake for her. She really wanted the unicorn ice cream cake from Baskin Robbins. So I went to the Baskin Robbins location closest to our house and they were not friendly at all and said the baker wasn't making any more unicorn cakes until Thursday. So I called this Baskin Robbins and Himesh answer the phone and was so kind and friendly. He said it wouldn't be a problem and even let me pick out her favorite colors for the mane. I am just so grateful they were able to help make my daughter's birthday even more special after a long week of sickness. We will be making a point to be going to this location over the other McKinney location...

Went for the free ice cream deal, app continuously crashed, it took 15 minutes to get through the ordering page, only for the order to spin and never go through. My dad had already bought a cone, so I showed the employee and manager that the $0 ice cream order wasn't working. Of course, the employees have no control over the poor technology, but they had no sympathy and seemed quite annoyed, and did not serve us the orders. Probably tired from the app not working all day, but reflected very poorly on them. Incredibly disappointing customer service, and the ice cream has never been worth $3. Don't waste your time here, just go down Eldorado to Braums, Sonic, or Chickfila for better prices, quality, and...
