Placed mobile app order. Gave specific instructions for salad in comment section. At pickup went in and asked them if they took into account the specific instructions. Was told yes. Lie. Order was wrong. Asked for redo of just fresh bottom lettuce & tomatoe but we would keep the top meat. They wanted the entire salad back. They said would take awhile and tried to give us short the amount of cash refund it should have been since we needed to leave for appointment - NOTE , that cash was NOT equal to the full cost of the returned salad. It was less than what I paid. Since they could not do math, nor follow instructions, we gave the person that identified herself as the female mgr, back ALL of the food for the entire just under $50 order and asked for credit card refund or to cancel the order completely. They hem hawed and said that they were having wifi problems. By this time daughter was crying and late for performance. Had to take credit card back and leave with NO food and NO refund, but still a charge on my ctedit card. Emailed corporate and they refuse to grant refund stating owner told them I received cash refund, which is a LIE as we did not. This location is run by incompetent staff that cannot read and follow directions, as well as are LIARS & THIEVES. I suggest they watch the surveillance video for an accurate accounting and not taking their dishonest word for it. Something needs tk be done about the phone message and mail box being full for this location. Read moreSo disappointing. We used to come to this location all the time and it was great! We went today but not only were the burger patties paper thin, they were so burnt they crumbled, were jet black and tasted like cardboard. My husband ate his anyway but I couldn’t do it. When I brought the burger back letting them know I thought it may have stayed on the grill to long, they asked what I wanted them to do instead of offering to make it right. I politely asked for a new one. A little over 15 minutes later, my husband finished his meal and I walked over to see if mine was ready. That’s when they began making it. When I bit into the second burger it was just as thin and burnt as the first. Obviously I did not want a new one because it wasn’t going to get better. After eating a few bites, I threw away the remains. On the way out I told them they may want to be cognizant of how long they keep the meat on the grill because my 2nd was just as bad as the first. The cooks said “um, ok....” I know it is fast food, but these guys were beyond apathetic and horrible with customer service. In the 45 minutes we were there, 2 other customers in the store complained about their burgers to the employees and a to go order came back with a completely incorrect order. Read moreI'll start by saying the staff was very helpful and friendly. Unfortunately, I'm more interested in the quality of the food and that what my 1 star is for.
Perhaps my expectations were set inappropriately, and that may make this unfair, but I was hoping for FAR better food quality. I ordered a cheeseburger with Bacon and BBQ. I took it to go with my daughter's grill cheese and 10 min later when I got home to eat I managed to eat half before tossing the remainder.
The burger didn't taste fresh, the bun was so soaked in grease that it was literally swimming in the liquid fat and the fry's were boarder line chewy .. like sitting under a heat lamp maybe. I don't know, but this was the first and last time I'll eat Mooya. I should have gone with the Sonic across the street .
Caveats: I tend to eat healthy food and when I do eat a burger they are typically at the 'all natural gourmet burger' joints in Austin. That's what I hoped to get here. Unfortunately it was more like Jack in the Box or McDonald's... Hence perhaps my expectations were set unfairly.
I suppose for $18 on a burger, fries and kids meal grilled cheese I should have known what I was getting. There are probably good attributes for some, but for a health conscious person like myself this won't make the cut. Even my 6 year old was skeptical of the grilled cheese. Next time I'll look a little harder for fresh food as I am happy to pay more for...
