Excellent service, subpar everything else.
I wanted to love Cesar’s, I really did, but unfortunately the overall vibe and feel of the restaurant itself is just so dingy and ghetto. This could very easily be remedied if the windows had not been covered, the lighting was revamped, the walls were repainted and the decor wasn’t so cheap looking and almost uncomfortably off if you know what I mean. On the other hand, service was absolutely where Cesar’s shined! The minute we walked in we were greeted by extremely welcoming staff willing to help us when we needed it. Our waiter as well was very kind and very quick to get us our food and drink. Speaking of food, first impressions are always important but they can be very misleading. I ordered the “El Gran Burrito” and it looked very delicious, however, upon eating the first half of the burrito, I was just not impressed. The food was very quality and looked amazing but the taste was barely better than, maybe, Taco Bell. So overall, uncomfortable dining, subpar food and excellent service. 4/10 would not be my first recommendation but would be in...
Read moreOur review is really between a 2 and a 3. My husband had Cheese Enchiladas with Beef Fajitas on top. He said the enchiladas were very average and he would give them a three, the fajita meat was very tender and he would give that a 4 and the chili a 4. His food was much better than mine and from my first experience there, I would never eat there again. We did have a very nice waiter, but I would give the rice a 1, I’m guessing it was premade and possibly frozen before they served it, Charro Beans a 3 at the most, they just did not pop to me and I can be a connoisseur of them. I ordered some chicken tacos and gave my husband one of them. His description of them were they were bland and I would have to agree, I would give them a 2 at the most. I wanted hardshell tacos and so I asked the waiter to bring me some and when I got them they were burnt, I actually have a picture of them. I would give their hot sauce at 3, but my first thought when I ate their tortilla chips is that they were stale. We went based on other reviews, we live out of town, but I was very disappointed...
Read moreReviews were so great that we were very excited to check out Cesar's Mexican. I expected to be greeted by the delicious aroma of Mexican food, but not so. Rather, immediately upon entering, the air was "sewer gas." I looked around, but nobody seemed to notice it. Okay! My husband ordered his usual enchiladas, beans, and rice. I ordered a half order of tex-mex nachos, and we ordered a tableside guacamole. A bowl of chips and two red salsa's were placed in front of us . The chips & salsa were fantastic! But sadly, the guacamole was too salty, I couldn't eat it. Our server was careful to ask every ingredient whether we wanted cilantro, onions, jalapeños, etc, but we were never asked about the salt. Too bad! My half order of tex-mex nachos arrived, and it was HUGE and looked great! My first thought was that they gave me a regular order instead of a half, but our server confirmed it was a half order! The meat had a good spice flavor, but unfortunately, it, too, was very salty. I couldn't eat but a few bites around the meat. Our experience was disappointing, and no, we will...
