La La Land — Restaurant in McKinney

Update: I spoke to the manager, and they were super kind and worked with me. I so appreciate that!

The concept of La La Land is so inviting and aesthetic. I love the message that they promote of being kind and their story behind everything. Their drinks have their own signature flavor, one of my favorites is the banana cloud topping, and I love pairing it with their matcha. My favorite matcha that you can buy when you’re out and about.

Although busy, obviously with it being popular and a new location, I had a great in-dining experience. One of the workers, Maddie, was so kind to us and helped us get our drinks while with my littles.

However, I have had a poor experience with their mobile the last couple of weeks of ordering. Today, I ordered on the app for 12:30pm, and when I got there, no drink in sight, waited for 15 minutes, still no drink. I asked the barista about it, and she was rather cold about it with there being a large amount of orders, but 15+ minutes after the fact of time of pick up is frustrating. I had the most wonderful experience at La La Land Kind Cafe, and Kaila truly made my visit unforgettable! From the moment I walked in, her warm smile and cheerful demeanor set the perfect tone. She was incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure I had everything I needed without ever being overbearing. It's clear she genuinely cares about making guests feel special. The cafe itself is such a cozy, inviting space, and Kaila’s energy just added to the overall positive vibe. Not only did she provide exceptional service, but she also gave great recommendations from the menu (the avocado toast was divine!). Everything was great but I would have appreciated it if the cashier actually knew anything. About the drinks. I read everything while in line and then just asked what the difference was between then lala latte and the best vanilla latte and she had no idea. I asked different question and she did not know because she had never tried the drink. I waited while some people took 5 minutes plus to order thinking she would be answering lots of questions, but I guess not.

Also, I would recommend we having the menu available to people in line and not when they get to the cashier. The don’t is way too small and ends up with newer lalaland customers reading it for the first time at...
