la Madeleine — Restaurant in McKinney

Took an Uber to run some errands while getting my tires changed. Left my wallet in the back seat and tried for hours to contact customer service to retrieve it (stay with me...gets better). Keep in mind, my cell was out of battery so I had to borrow a customer service employee personal cell phone to call idiot Lyft customer service (doesnt exist). Exhausted my time at the tire place. Had my briefcase with computer and needed to find a place with wifi nearby to finish my quest. La Madeleine's was across the street. Pouring rain outside, I froggered across a very busy HWY. Walked in and told a kid employee my situation and asked to just sit in the corner, borrow their wifi and try to track my wallet. Things felt quite "Doom & Gloom". I was desperate now. No Money, No Car, No Cell, getting dark outside..and still pouring rain. The kid came back after telling his manager and said I could sit in the corner. I thankfully setup shop and jumped back in to the non existing lyft customer service. 2 minutes after sitting down, a tray of hot soup and basket of bread appear on my table. I look up and it's the kid, "My manager says you look like you could use this". I tried to kindly decline, but they wouldnt accept "no" for an answer. My spirits were completely lifted - I was reminded of the power of kindness.

Very bad service. I have been a cutsomer for over 25 years. I just moved to this area and today is my 3rd visit to this place and I continue to experience the same issues. Employees are playing around and coversing. They take orders and then forget about it. Wait time is over 45 minutes for a salad and soup. A waiter takes my order and then hands my receipt to someone else and then disappears. I call on another waiter and he says ok as well and disappears too. I find another waiter and point to my food behind the counter, they say ok and then disappear AGAIN. I asked 5 different waiters and they all would not hand me my food. There's also a long line at the cashier that is not moving. When I get my food, they hand it to me with terrible attitudes and the soup is spilling everywhere and the salad plate is dirty and the waitress said it looks fine. Horrible service, will never return to this location. I'm sure the response I will get on this will be "We apogize, we'll fix it next time" but I'd rather drive another 15 miles to a different location than ever...
