We had a terrible experience buying donuts for our church. We came there because we had a $25 gift card. However, once there, we were told it could not be redeemed. Also, none of the donuts or kolache’s were of decent quality. They tasted like they were kind of stale. The people in the church ate some of them but most of them went in the trash. Total cost was $72.12. Considerably more than we usually pay at Krispy Kreme. When we made our experience known to them privately , they sent us this: While we express our kind condolences, the entirety of your complaint holds no relevance in that of our expertise, rather, in others. The lack of acceptance of gift cards at our store, reiterated numerous times in your understanding, is, in our defense, a lack of your understanding of a franchise policy that has held true on several occasions throughout the business. Furthermore, your remark on the quality of our products retaining a lackluster status in comparison to similar products of other businesses is an opinion holding no relevance to the true quality of our products, but in the personal preferences of yourself. It is our style and unique process that defines our products, and if they are not of your satisfaction, an alternative of your choice that you had stated would likely suit your preferences to a higher degree. In all regards, it is evident, in the manner of diction, that the unsatisfactory results of your purchase were made not by ours, but by your choice. The matter is all but in our...
Read moreWorst experience at a Shipley's to date. Pros: clean Cons: approach, selection, decision making and conflict resolution.
I walked in; was greeted and asked what I wanted. I stated a cinnamon roll....paused then added a glazed donut as well. (There were 6 cinnamon rolls). Then another employee comes over and she gives him my cinnamon roll. Then turns to me and says "I'm sorry...drive-through has the cinnamon rolls, would you like a bear claw instead?"
Why would I ask for a cinnamon roll and accept a bear claw instead? I saw them sitting side by side....and I didn't want it then. Why wouldn't let me keep my cinnamon roll and offer the bear claw to the drive through order?
How is a bear claw a replacement for a cinnamon roll? Do you not respect the layered cinnamon deliciousness of the cinnamon roll?
To add insult to injury, the guy in the back offers me the same deal as if I just didn't understand the young lady who suggested it prior. "Cinnamon roll" was the 1st statement out of my mouth, the one thing I wanted more than the 3 other things I ordered. NOT COOL!! Mathematically speaking you could've had 1.8333 customers satisfied. But now you have 1 drive-through and 1 who will likely...
Read moreShipleys WAS my favorite donut place since I was a child. Love the chocolate filled. Hopefully it's just this franchise. This is the 3rd time I have tried this location. Stopped in yesterday and got the chocolate filled donuts and the were NOT fresh tasted day old YUK! Even worse was it was ALL donut with hardly any filling. The chocolate filling was the size of a "Quarter" REALLY??? Going cheap is the motto of this place! The first time I came here it was the same and I wrote a review and the owner responded and said to come back and gave me new ones of coarse with more filling AS IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN. Decided to try it again yesterday and still the same not fresh and filling was only in there for color. I will NEVER go back to this location. One more thing: I also asked if they could fill a dozen donut holes for me and the lady looked at me like a deer in the headlights and kept pointing to donuts. I repeated my self 3 or 4 times and then gave up. She definitely didnt...
