This is the last time I will be shopping at Walmart. The customer service and policies have drastically gone down in quality over the years. I will be joining the rest of my family with shopping only at Target and Amazon for my every day items.
During my last visit all 4 employees I spoke too were rude and very unhelpful, especially the manager. I went into the store to purchase a pair of shoes for my son I found through the Walmart website (sold by Walmart directly) that said they were on clearance for $6.99 (originally $17.98). While in the store, I decided to purchase some groceries that I originally planned to purchase elsewhere (the grocery total was a $47.35). At checkout, the shoes scanned at their original price of $17.98 so I asked the cashier to look at the app with me and to please match their online price. She said that since it said "when purchased online" it was "their policy to not match the price in store." Confused, I told her that I was told about a month ago that Walmart would match their own prices on their app and she said she wouldn't do it. I had her ring up my groceries and I went to customer service. I received the same feedback from the cashier there as well as the manager on duty. When I told her that someone actually did match the price about a month ago she said “I work here 5 days a week and I only follow our policies.” Thank goodness Walmart has such loyal employees. When I asked if I could "purchase them online right now in the app" would they let me buy them for the clearance price and leave the store right now with them they told me no, I would have to wait for pickup tomorrow. When I expressed that didn’t make sense since I was already in the store holding the shoes she said it was to “encourage the benefits of online shopping” to which I replied that Walmart received a greater benefit by having me come into the store because I purchased nearly $50 worth of groceries I would not have purchased online. So I asked if I purchased the shoes right now online would they hold the shoes behind the counter because they were the last pair in my son’s size, to which she said “no, because if someone comes into the store and is willing to pay the full in-store price they would get the shoes instead of me” (even if I placed the order online before the hypothetical person showed up in store! So much for the “benefit of online shopping.”) Still confused and now frustrated, I proceeded to try to purchase the shoes online but realized they were ringing up at nearly $15. Upon further investigation, there is a $6.99 fee for an online pickup order under $35! I returned the groceries I purchased and...
Read moreI wish I could give this a 0 star rating. I have been shopping at this Walmart for over a year now and I have never been so mistreated by a Walmart staff member. On Thursday July 31, 2025 I went to the 5001 McKinney Ranch Pkwy, McKinney, TX 75070 location. I completed my purchase @ 12:04pm on self checkout register #31. I was shopping for items to cook for my 80 yr old grandmother who just had major surgery. She was having complications and my mind was already in a bad place and I had a lot on my mind when entering this store. By the time I left I was in tears. I am not a thief, but I was treated like one. I was buying 3 packs of chicken wings. I wasn’t paying attention and accidentally scanned one pack three times instead of scanning each pack separately. A Walmart staff member (An older Black woman with colored hair) approached me very aggressively and told me that I have to scan each pack separately. I calmly and politely told her, “Okay, I understand.” She continued to scold me like I was a child stating, “Yah, you can’t do that!” I said “Okay” in a more stern tone this time. She STILL continued and repeated, “You have to scan each one!” I began to get frustrated and told her, “Okay! I get it!” Once she walked away I was so frustrated and I very much so had an attitude as I put my groceries away. While I’m doing that I look over and there is a whole group of Walmart employees staring at me and making comments amongst themselves. I stare back at them for a few seconds and complete my purchase. I put in my headphones as I walked out and I heard another Black female employee stay something to me as I was leaving. I believe she asked me, “Oh, you mad?!” As I exited the store I could feel tears welling up in my eyes. This is the most unprofessional group of employees I have ever seen in my life. As a former Walmart employee I always try to be kind to the workers, because I know how hard that work can be, but this behavior was completely unacceptable! Talking to me like I stole a personal item from her, when I simply made a human mistake was extremely unnecessary. I don’t like going anywhere to be mistreated, especially when I was just trying to do something nice for my recovering grandmother. So, I will no longer be giving any more of my money to Walmart. The staff at Walmart need to do better! You never know what people are...
Read moreScathing Review of Walmart McKinney Ranch Parkway Supercenter Auto Center:
I cannot express how utterly disappointed I am with the complete lack of professionalism and customer service at the Walmart McKinney Ranch Parkway Supercenter Auto Center. If I could give this place zero stars, I absolutely would.
To start, the level of incompetence and disregard for customers' time was nothing short of astounding. I arrived at the Auto Center and waited in line for over 30 minutes while the staff (The guy from India -Jaipur)behind the counter casually chatted with his aquantaince and conducted their personal business and generally avoiding any semblance of urgency. It was beyond frustrating to watch them waste time while customers — who had actual work to be done — stood there in line, ignored and treated like an afterthought.
I had to repeatedly ask for assistance, only to be met with apathetic responses and a sense that they couldn't care less about helping anyone. It’s as if they’re so used to working in a setting where nobody holds them accountable that they’ve forgotten what professionalism looks like.
This wasn't just a minor inconvenience; it was an absolute waste of my time. This is NOT how any business should operate, especially not one where you’re charging customers for a service.
I’ve never been treated with such blatant disregard, and I will never return to this Auto Center. Walmart needs to take a hard look at their staff at this location and make some serious changes if they want to maintain any kind of customer loyalty. It's clear that their employees are more focused on their own distractions than on providing even a basic level of service. If you're looking for a place to get your vehicle worked on, avoid this location at all costs. You’ll be met with unprofessionalism, inefficiency, and utter disdain for your...
