If I could give 3.5 stars, that is what they would get but I decided to round up instead of down. This is a new ramen restaurant that is minutes from home so we had to give it a shot. For the most part, the food was good but the experience was sub par. I do not like places that serve canned soda as a rule, but I especially don't like it when you charge $1.50 for a can of soda and don't even offer a glass with ice to drink it. We also had 3 people at the table, 2 people ordered a sushi roll each and they brought it out on a single platter with no other plates brought out, so the two people were expected to eat their meals from the same plate. We also had to ask for a dipping dish instead of it being brought out with the sushi order. As for the food: I had looked at online pictures of the menu indicating they served yakisoba, but that wasn't on the menu today so I had the shoyu ramen instead - tasty broth, noodles were a bit generic, chashu pork was tender with a pleasant grilled flavor Husband had the McKinney roll but not sure what makes it "McKinney". He said it was good though he likely would not order it again as it wasn't spicy (though the menu indicated it would be) and it had cream cheese, which he didn't notice on the menu when he ordered it. It was there, he just didn't notice it. Daughter (11 y/o) had the Samurai roll - she thought it was really good and would order it again. She said it wasn't spicy though the menu indicated it would be. We also had the spicy karage would recommend (had a sweet chili and sriracha flavor) and the takoyaki which was fine, but the batter seemed a bit undercooked in...
Read moreNeat Ramen place with good food. It's a bummer we wouldn't be going back there because of horrible service. It was our first time here so we needed time to look at all the great options and decide.. but the server kept coming back every minute (the restaurant was practically empty), not to see if we had questions but to get our order. That was disappointment #1. The food was nice, although we'd have appreciated more broth in the Ramen. But then came the biggest disappointment..the waitress kept hovering over our table to get dishes away.. once when my 8yo daughter was taking a break, and her bowl was gone - and nope, she didn't bother to ask if we were still working on it. Next she took away the appetizer plate with dipping sauce while qe still had appetizers on our plate..when asked for the sauce, she took over 10 minutes and then came to say there's an extra charge for the sauce.. hello! You just took our sauce away! Sorry, we'll come back when you learn some...
Read moreBEWARE... They will over charge you and can't explain why and will be rude about it. I tried to place my order online, but their system wasn't work, so I called it in. I ordered the Heart Attack $8.50, 3 Tonkotsu Ramen 12.49 each (2 w/ chili oil $1.00 each) total showing online and the calculator $51.92. 1st the guy told me the total was $54.92, I let him know that's not the same total I have online, so he puts this lady on the phone. I gave her my order again and she then tells me the total is $54.92. I explained to her that's not correct, she then tells me the prices online are different so she gave me the price of each item (which are the same prices online.) After trying to explain it a few times, she hangs up on me and would not answer the phone. I will NEVER return to this place, I will not spend my money at any establishment that will scam (any amount) of money and then be rude about it. If you order from this place ALWAYS check and add it...
