Taco Bueno — Restaurant in McKinney

Previously, I had given this place 2 stars due to many different issues. I had to revise my review because they have improved significantly and I believe they deserve it. Nearly all of the problems I had before appear to have been addressed except for one: there still seems to be a major issue with employee turnaround.

I see different faces nearly every time I go, and there appears to be only one exhausted manager who is always training a new person. Not surprisingly, this leads to long wait times at the register, enough for impatient people to leave in frustation before even having their order taken. There are also occasional mistakes due to the employees being rushed and often inexperienced.

Perhaps the franchisee or regional manager could adjust the compensation to be more competitive so they can retain skilled workers. I realize that these are ostensibly low wage positions, but there are three other fast food restaurants directly adjacent to this one that do not appear to suffer the same problem.

I've been to this location several times now and it's always about the same level of service. Today I pull into the drive thru, I'm the only car. I place my order and drive to the window, pay for my food and the cashier asked me to pull forward. I ask why, there is no one behind me and I only ordered 3 tacos and a burrito. He kind of shrugs. I say I don't see a reason to pull forward, if I do and my order is wrong or I need condiments you'll have to make a second trip. He pulls back inside and come back to the window promptly and hands me a bag, I say thank you and get ready to leave. He then says no that's just your condiments, now please pull forward. Still no one behind me. I pull forward against my better judgement. 16 minutes later he walks my soggy tacos and burrito out. I asked him if it takes 15 min for 3 tacos and a burrito and he just said "yes". I've never done a review before but this location is constantly terrible, I sincerely hope the owners read this so they can correct this atrocious...

We went through drive thru yesterday night and our experience was awful. We were the only ones there, no other car was in the parking lot nor drive thru. We order our food and pull up to the window. The boy at the window gives us our total, which he seems unsure about, we give him cash and as he's counting it a couple times he asked us to pull to a parking in the front. He didn't give us our change and he didn't give us our receipt. We wait a couple minutes and he comes to the window and gives us a bag but no change and no receipt. We assumed everything was in the bag. Unfortunately when we arrived home, there were things missing and our change and receipt wasn't there either. It was a terrible experience especially for a fast food place that was deserted at the time we went. It's crazy to think that they stole our money on purpose and probably didn't put in the order and that's why they forgot some...
