I was saved in this church. I was baptized in this church. I served on dream teams and participated in menâs retreats. My son was involved in the youth ministry. My wife would go on serve days to womenâs clinics and to feed the homeless. So, We were here for 2 years and were able to see most of the inner and outer workings of the church. Most of the church leadership is really great. However, as I was attending Bible college and bringing questions to some of the leaders of the church, I was met with bad answers that always seem to point at my own âlack of faithâ as I was told. I was even called a cessationist at one point as a I refused to act sick and jump around like a lunatic âpossessed.â A wife of one of the leaders literally told my wife she had no faith because she wouldnât speak in âtongues.â I was also confronted by another woman who told me I had to tithe in order to serve on one of the safety teams. A forced tithe on a literal volunteer position. When I brought up that I tithe through the app, and I do so anonymously, she said to make sure I uncheck the âremain anonymousâ box so they can keep an eye on it. Absolutely diabolical.
Unfortunately, this church is a metal box of charismatic Protestantism filled with all your hallmarks; coffee shop, merchandise, motivational speeches with peppered bits of scripture, camera crews that interrupt prayer and worship, and no respect in the congregation itself as people come in late to disrupt others who are trying to listen and be engaged with service. They bring in guest pastors who preach a sales pitch on their books (always conveniently in the lobby after service). Yet they wonât miss a service to tell you to donate more so they can build more churches with the same practices. Jesus would have a field day flipping tables if he were to walk in here. The women are cliquey and were unwelcoming towards my wife on multiple womenâs night occasions. So she stopped going all together. We have since moved on. Itâs time to tell of our experience in hopes of change and anyone wary about joining another non-denom feel good church.
Itâs not about us. Itâs never about us. Itâs always and ever only should be about Him. There is just so much distraction here to even give our God a fraction of respect.
I wonât give a 1 star because there are very good leaders, who I will name, who do care and bust their tails to make sure people feel welcome.
Leandro, Jon, Logan, Greg, Tatum, Jen. All wonderful stewards of Christ. Thank you for the effort you put forth. Peace...
Read moreWhile the pastor is clearly charismatic and skilled at public speaking (those with this personality type do), the sermons often resemble motivational talks more than sound biblical teaching. The messages rely on emotional appeal and personal anecdotes rather than thoughtful exegesis or doctrinal grounding.
Thereâs also a concerning tone of arrogance and subtle manipulation in the delivery - using fear-based language and guilt rather than grace or truth to inspire change. I made the mistake of listening to one of his podcasts with his wife and his condescending tone to her was shocking.
I truly hope the focus shifts toward authentic biblical scholarship for the sake of the members of this congregation - but I doubt this pastor has the education or humility to...
Read moreMy boyfriend his son and I started going to this Church a couple of months ago. Personally I've tried many different churches over the years and haven't been happy with the overall energy. I haven't been to church in over 6 years. This church has completely met all of our spiritual needs. We love the Pastor, as he is very real, down to earth, honest, and is truly teaching the Word of God. Not some modernized politically correct teaching. I couldn't be more grateful that we know for sure God guided us to our new home. We are so blessed to be able to have this church community. We attend every Saturday at 5:00pm which works for our life schedule. Thank you Life Fellowship Church! Keep up the great worship and beautiful message...
