Havenât been here since 2019. Very glad I decided to come back on my recent visit to McMinnville. I think that the overall average rating of 4.5 is just about right for this place.
Still the same local vibe (in fact, very little has changed). Still the same genial âpizza place appropriateâ and youngish staff. Never had a problem with customer service before and didnât this time either. Prices remain good in terms of quality/quantity, even if they have increased (like everywhere else).
The pizza remains top notch, with a crisp and thin cornmeal crust. The Tombstone remains a go-to and their veggie option is a good take on the traditional NW style of the same. Onion rings were oddly mushy inside (as if they had been frozen at some point). I do miss the salad bar, even if most pizza places got rid of them post-pandemic and Mikeyâs was always hit-or-miss with ingredients and cleanliness. That said, the new pre-packaged salads are very fresh (even if they should probably swap out all the raw broccoli and cauliflower for more traditional salad fixings). I do find it funny how they label their sizes though: small, large, and giant are really just small, medium, and large. But whatever.
Since my previous visit, there are newer and trendier pizza options in town (as in, âyou want dates with your artisanal pie?â). And there remain your typical lower-tier chain options if you are on a budget, have no palate, or really like intestinal problems. But Mikeyâs will be my option anytime I am in town and want a good pizza. Thanks for a great visit. Recommended. Oh, one final comment. Some of the recent negative reviews arenât really reviews and donât really seem to say anything aside from âI like whining, have a very delicate sensibility, and donât understand that prices have gone up.â But, hey, if you like to project your charming personality that way, go to town . . . and go eat at Pizza Hut. And UP CAPS MEANS YOU ARE YELLING (which doesnât really...
Read morePizza was great! The atmosphere is insanely loud...but it is a little pizzeria so not too surprising...The service was not amazing. When I asked how many bread sticks ate in an order the girl said "I have no clue" and just stared at me...i had to ask , "well can you find out please so i knoe how to order for my family of 7" she rolled her eyes and exhaled "I guess"...the diet pop had not been replaced...when asked when they will refill it aftercwaiting 20 mins to see if they would...the answer was "um no time soon. We are kinda busy" . There were 4 tables at the time. Normally I wouldn't care but there was also no available water. Being diabetic I unfortunately can't drink regular drinks. There was not an available option. I tipped when we ordered...had to order then go find a seat...will not do that again. So disappointed in the service...the only thing keeping this a 3 star was the pizza. The cooks are amazing. Maybe a better pick up place. None of this is life ending stuff...but 4 pizzas and 7 sodas cost $120 before tip. One of the reasons we don't go out much is the service is awful. I HIGHLY recommend the pizza..pick up only you won't be...
Read moreI think OHA needs to pay them a visit. Weâve been coming off and on but unfortunately donât think we will back. The general cleanliness of the entire place is concerning. The bathrooms are awful worse than a gas station. I honestly donât think anyone is cleaning them. The whole place could use a good scrub clean. The trash can was overflowing once and customers stacked their used food items on top of it.
The food is okay we have always preferred a few of their pizzas for delivery usually. They donât put any sauce on their wings. A small drizzle and for the price very disappointing. Our kids like to play the arcade games. So from time to time we will dine in and and I always have my kids shower when they get home.
Between the price of the food and the arcade games I wonder what is being put back into this business. Then add on the video poker in the back $$$. The atm charges $5 for use!
The beer choices arenât great. They advertise several above the check out but said those are just for looks. They donât serve coors light or any light beers for that matter. I hope the owner/manager reads this please clean up your...
