FIRE THAT MANAGER!
I was left speechless by the blatant disrespect I witnessed recently. A lovely host, who welcomed us with such warmth, was being berated. During our meal, we caught snippets of what seemed to be the manager accusing her of stealing food, claiming she took "too much." Honestly, what kind of reality does this misguided woman think she inhabits? I actually think I heard the manager say “Theft” , I about lost my mind, as well as lost my appetite.
Did the manager forget she’s employed at IHOP, not some high-end establishment? I couldn't help but eavesdrop on this conversation , feeling sympathy for that sweet host who has to endure such an awful manager. By the looks of it, it seemed like it’s not the 1st time she’s had words with that sweet woman.
How can a manager treat their staff with such blatant disrespect, especially in front of customers? How can the owner of this establishment not be aware of this BULLY in their establishment? The manager's behavior not only undermined her efforts but also set a toxic tone for the entire dining experience.
After my meal, I felt compelled to speak up. I approached the host and told her how much I appreciated her kindness and that she didn’t deserve the treatment she received.
I’ve never written a review before. But this really had me at a loss of words. no employee should have to endure that kind of humiliation at work.
Here’s a reminder that the way we treat one another, especially in the service industry, matters. A little kindness goes a long way, and it’s crucial for management to foster a respectful and supportive environment for their staff.
And by the way, IHOP: your pancakes are GOD AWFUL, I can’t be the only one who misses Shari’s!
I won’t be returning...and If I do decide to go back, it will be solely to give that wonderful hostess a heartfelt hug and some flowers to show her kindness amidst her unprofessional and...
Read moreThis restaurant chain is one of my absolute favorites by far! I've only dined in twice at this location, but have ordered to-go quite often if I'm being honest. The reasoning for pick up instead of dine in would be time limitations, and simply the ease of being able to eat on the go, it had nothing to do with the restaurant... If I'm being totally honest here, dining in would generally be more reliable in the long run. I have learned I should be more vigilant when it comes to making sure all toppings, add-ons, drinks, and sides have been included in my baggage before leaving as I've unfortunately been left wanting more from my last three pick up orders, as have a few family members, after finally getting to my destination and finding some of my order was over looked or forgotten. Such as the tres leches pancakes without any of it's special toppings, french toast without it's chosen toppings, a mix up in the drink order, and the empty void where their delicious flavored syrup should be nestled in...... Now, all in all, even with missing parts - the food is delicious, the service seems somewhat undertrained (I'm assuming just a lot of new hires?) but they're still willing to help when you walk through the door, or at least find someone who can help, and it's very clean and sanitary and definitely seems to be ran in an organized fashion. As for the missing parts of my orders, as I've mentioned it's only been the last three orders, and all of the missing items definitely should of been caught by me as I checked to make sure everyone had their main choices inside the bag, very easy fixes, just simply overlooked, now I'll definitely be sure to check each and every piece is there, and if not, the extremely friendly staff will be there to assist in any fixes I'm sure! Keep up the...
Read moreVisited this place 10/27/24. Wasn't very impressed for a few reasons. Walked in and smelt B.O. bad! Could have been a guest but man it was bad. We ordered and waited a good 25-30 minutes for our food. Understandable for a packed house but it wasn't all that busy, not even half-full. Food was ok at best. Buttermilk pancakes were really good. My bacon omelette with white cheese sauce left something to be desired. Everything else was bland or just ok. BUT the kicker was this! My waitress hands me the check and says, "I'll be cashing you out." But never specifies where to meet her or if she can just take my card right at the table. I thought ok, I'll meet you up front. So, I walk up front and here she comes. I say, "I wasn't sure if you meant up here or.." She says, "yeah, I know, you weren't listening." No I heard what you said, it just wasn't clear enough. There are no signs that say, 'pay here' or anything, so I just walked to the front and was spoken to like I'm a child. Should have left her zero tip.
Won't be back simply because of her rudeness.
Update! My kids wouldn't stop asking for IHOP! 😭😭 So, I give this place another chance after our prior subpar experience. Food was good. I got the Colorado omelette. Was excellent. Waitres was nice and attentive.
Downsides. The booths were very uncomfortable. I sat the one closest to the door in the middle section. It was bad, if I'm paying top dollar for breakfast, at least give me a comfy booth. No coloring pads for kids. We got a blank sheet of paper and a crayon. Again, if you're going to charge these prices, everything should be quality. From top to bottom and everything in between.
I'm gonna raise my review because the waitres was actually...
