If I could give 0 stars, I would. Some friends of mine went to visit two new friends we made through a mutual interest of ours. They suggested that we go to the 24 hr Denny's they go to, so we went. We went to this Denny's on July 15th... it was one of the worst experiences we've ever had. It was about 9:30 pm when the 8 of us walked in and got a table. Our waitress, who was an older Hispanic lady came and only got 5 out of 8 drinks. She didn't even ask the rest of us what we wanted to drink. It took her 15 minutes to bring their drinks out. We had to stop her from leaving again so the rest of us could order our drinks. My friend order a vanilla shake, and she just dropped it off and walked away. The menu said it comes with a tin for the leftover shake. That wasn't brought out. At this point, we were getting a bit angry, but still willing to stay and tip her 15% instead of more. She didn't refill our drinks until after we had ordered, which was ridiculous because we had been there for a good 30-45 minutes in the restaurant. We had our friend who was pregnant go up and try to find the manager. He was in the back cooking some bacon for himself. We had a friend who had celiac, and all he ordered was the gluten free nachos with the melted cheese. And another friend who only ordered two eggs and hashbrowns. The rest of us got bigger meals, so we knew it would take longer for ours to come out. But none of the food did come out. Our waitress was no where to be found, and we were fuming with anger and very hungry. We were the waitress only table for the night. We were there for an hour and a half, no food or refills when we decided to just walk out. Our waitress saw us and told the people in the kitchen to stop cooking because we were leaving. We were so angry. Our friend went back in and talked to the manager and we got our friend who had celiac his gluten free nachos. I was looking forward to my meal, but I was not about to wait any longer for it to come out. All in all, it was super slow, terrible service, and very cramped. We will never come back to this Denny's ever...
Read moreThis place is the nastiest place ever. This was my second day working there today. Yesterday the lady that was training me was so nasty. She was digging in her teeth, digging in her hair, eating the bananas after she chopped them up for a customers pancakes, touching her phone, touching the customers food with her dirty hands. She did not wash her hands at all yesterday while I was training with her. That place is so nasty. It was trash all around the kitchen. Another worker told me that everybody in there was nasty and that he would never eat there. So today another worker came in and she walked straight into the kitchen. She put her hair up and immediately started fixing a customers ice cream. Then she had a sore on the side of her neck and she scratched it and looked at it and wiped it on her pants. She did not wash her hands at all. Then the lady that was training me yesterday started making ranch in the hand washing sink only! After mixing the ranch up she sat the spoon on the side of the sink where the sanitary water had spilled. Then picked it right back up and started mixing again. At that point I had enough. The manager is also nasty. He doesn’t wash his hands either. He got real upset when I told him that the things that are going on in this kitchen isn’t right. He asked me why didn’t I tell him. And I told him because he does the same thing. I walked out of there and cried because I can’t believe that all of this is going on there. They need to be shut down ASAP! I feel so bad for anyone who eats there. I will not work in a environment like that at all! I’ve worked in food service for five years at a school and they did not tolerate anything like this. I’m so shocked of all the things that are going on in there. It’s really hurtful. I will never ever eat out anywhere for the rest of my life. You can’t trust people now days. I’m calling the board of health...
Read moreI recall coming to this location when I was younger, it was a stop we would always make before out 6 hour drive. Unfortunately, this place has changed for the worst, I wasn't all that hungry so I placed a simple order (fries, chicken tenders, and Mac n cheese) my parents placed a t bone steak and a skillet, I noted that the skillet wasn't even sizzling at all. The steak was at medium well, though surprisingly enough, my order, despite being the easiest of the bunch, everything came out wrong, the tenders had a slight pink inside and was only amplified by the white plate, the breading was salty, the fries had a cooked exterior but the inside was a oil soaked interior which turned it into mush (only the thicker fries were affected) and with no flavor or salt. The Mac n cheese was the worst, it just looked like someone cooked the Mac, placed it in a bowl, and threw some cheese on top to disguise the unflavored bottom.
I ended up passing on the fries and mac and tried to stomach the tenders with some mayo, and even that came out wrong, my mayo tasted a little sour and somewhere I was getting a metallic taste, happen to find out that my fork was riddled with faint smears of something and maybe hard water, my spoon had a spot where any water and scraps of something yellow dried up, by this point I had already eaten 2 tenders and I was feeling a little apprehensive... well, that happens to be because I might have gotten some food poisoning, nothing too terrible, I left with headache, felt dizzy, my insides were bothering me, and I felt drained.
I would not recommend eating here unfortunately, this place is begging to be close and it should before someone gets hurt.
If you cant shake the Dennys craving, go to the one on beachnut and beltway 8.
I'm only giving it 2 stars because my parents...
