I am not one to wrote a bad review as you can see from my profile, but when the Manager of a really big store is not willing to help take something back even though it had an issue from the moment it was delivered on day 1 then I don't know why they exist in the first place. I am really upset because I had bought the Oakdale Counter Height dining table from them and it was more than $1000. It looks like if I had bought it from a garage sale. It is so washed out and not even the same color as the table in the showroom.. The guy over the phone has the audacity to say that there is nothing wrong with the table so we will not take it back. As you can see by the photos I have attached you can see that the table is 2 different colors and the tables "polish" is non-existent throughout all 6 chairs. This is really disappointing. DO NOT EVER BUY FROM ROOMS TO GO. ESPECIALLY FROM THE STAFFORD LOCATION. Uncooperative workers as well. Delivery person didn't take the item back even though it did not look like anything I want and saw in the showroom. The whole company is a scam. Who doesn't take returns? Especially on items worth thousands of dollars. That kind of money is not grown on trees. We work for that kind of money. Very upsetting. Never again in my life will I go back to them. Especially this location. If only I can give them a -5 for a review I really would. This store has ruined furniture shopping to a whole new level. I encourage everyone to save your money and go somewhere else. This store is a disappointment to the community. I am not the only one with this type of issue and I can guarantee that there are more people who have issues with them as well but didn't bother posting a review.

Worst Experience - I picked up bedroom set, dinning room table, couch and love seat. Love seat on back order for a month; no big deal; don't mind waiting. Opened up couch and it was stained where it had got wet. One of the seat cusions had black mold. The worst part was when they came to exchange it, the movers from R2G gouged my walls to my new house and scratched my wood floors on my NEW HOUSE trying to move the old couch out!!!. On top of that, they brought me a used set where the pillows were sun bleached, the cusions didn't even match (see pic). They were two inches too small and were made from different fabric. Very disappointed. They said they would give me a discount if I agreed to keep them. Can you believe that? I would have gone to a garage sale if I wanted that. It was an insult for them to make that offer. They only offered an "I'm sorry." I will never recommend them to anyone. It was not worth the hassle. Spent $4,000.00 and I received nothing but disappointment and still havn"t received what I paid for. BAD BUSINESS!!!! STAY AWAY !!!!!

(Isn't all the furniture ship in a 40ft containers?) Or it's the new way to ship via over air container, let the sun expose all the furniture to get "sun bleach"? She even take photos of the color and said she's going to talk the buyer. (If there's no issue, why take photo and let the rooms to go buyer department know?). Anyways, rooms to go doesn't like my money, I can go somewhere else. I will NOT recommend anyone to shop this location. If I can give 0 star for this place, I will do it without a heartbeat.

On Nov 30th around 7:30pm. My family went to get the coleford brown sleeper sofa. Andy was great to help out. Andy help out as much he can until I noticed the different color on the sleeper. J.R helped us pick out our new sectional, bed set, and mattress. He was professional, patient, and not pushy! We looked at all the memory foam mattresses even tempurpedic and he wasn’t trying to push the most expensive or even one specific brand. Since we currently have a therapedic and was in between that and a purple mattress, he advised to get the therapedic since we currently have one and love it— and if we don’t like it after 30 days, we can just pay the return fee and get the purple mattress since it’s a greater value. I feel like he had our best interests in mind and got us the best price possible. :)

Update: I still stand by J.R being a great sales rep. However this specific locations customer service is TERRIBLE . We got a living room set and bed set plus new mattress and frame. Didn’t even get the bed set—the bed and nightstand were delayed by 3 weeks & the dresser was damaged upon arrival before they even brought it up my stairs. The delivery guys caught it and took pics and took care of it before I even knew it was damaged, which I appreciated. However the delays and damaged products isn’t even my issue.

After the delivery guys left with the damaged dresser, I called and requested a quote of price difference for the chest instead of dresser because i was contemplating getting the chest anyways and since it was damaged and never got delivered, i thought it was a sign to get the chest. and although the chest itself is $100 cheaper compared to the dresser AND you only save $50 by getting the furniture in a package vs by the piece, she said it would be $250 more. But how?šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚ how would it be $250 more. Even if you reconstructed the package and just sold me everything by the piece (even tho it still wouldn’t make sense bc the chest is $100 cheaper….) I didn’t think it would be more than $50. Idk how they got $250. Sounds fishy to me. Anyways so I thought it through for a few days and I was going to call and speak with JR himself but honestly this has become too much of a hassle and we’re already in our new place with just a mattress and frame … with no sense of accommodation or concern from the employees. VERY annoying.

Then… I called to cancel the whole bedroom order. The guy who answered and completed the cancellation was completely unprofessional, rude, and just had no customer service skills. He literally sounded like a high school student that just didn’t care about anything . I could barely understand him he was mumbling so badly. Also sounded like he wasn’t even sure of the specific amounts, I had to clarify multiple times and he had zero confidence. He said he would send an email with the amounts but of course I’ve yet to see it. I’ll just need to call their overall customer service dept to make sure this was even taken care of properly.

Basically, if there are no issues with your furniture and delivery then I think you’re good to go. But the second there’s any damages pre-delivery or delays, your experience will go down hill. I’ve gotten multiple mattresses, living room sets, and bed sets from here and this will be my last time doing...

Overall, I don’t have a problem with the sales team on the floor that I dealt with. I do have a problem with corporate and the local manager at this store. They did not respect nor honor their employees time off.

Francisco was amazing, patient, respectful, and knowledgeable sales person on the floor. I encourage him to find employment elsewhere where he is respected.

Salim was the second sales and was awesome as well. Very kind, patient, and respectful.

We looked at a couch yesterday, salesman was awesome and was very helpful. I knew he would be off the next day.

I checked the competition and after checking, I opted to go with Rooms to go.

I knew that the salesman that helped us was off the next day but did not want to have a possible delay because maybe 5 more people come in a buy the same couch and push my delivery date back.

I returned the next day and a new salesman helped me. I explained that I want to ensure the initial salesman shares in the commission as this was fair. I even had to discuss this with the manager, demanding that the initial salesman received credit as well. The initial salesman and the new salesman should share the commission.

The manager said it’s company policy and it would not be shared. It would go to the new salesman and the initial salesman would get nothing.

The manager I talked with said the initial employee should have given me his personnel cell number and ask him to come on in on his days off to make the sale. This showed complete disregard to honor and respect a employees time off. If this is how corporate and the local management treat their sales team, they will have a scared and beat down staff.ā€, managing with a iron fist,

I honestly wish I would have left.

The new salesman was also very kind, professional, and helpful. However, Rooms To Go company policy I 100% disagree with and I find this extremely dishonest and horrible to their employees to be treated this way.

Should someone at Rooms To Go corporate actually read my review, I challenge them to reach out to me and should they change this policy, I’ll give a higher rating.

The employees at this store in Stafford were all kind to us. Unfortunately, they don’t receive the commission and for that, your company rating is...

-10/10!!!! DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE!!!! They were so quick to roll out the false red carpet treatment when you go there to get you to buy whatever they want then try to upell you on accessories and when you say you dont want it they try to pull something else out their pocket to try and sell you and dont get me started on their disgustingly rude and incompitent contractors for delivery who refused to provide their name but were 2 Rooms To Go contractors as they had the companmy logo on their uniform and truck. I went to purchace a matress and and we were promised that the old one would be taken no questions were asked by the salesman and he didnt tell use any policies on them taking old furniture he seemed more keen on the sale and trying to get his commission than anything else. When those contractors came and delivered the matress which was in my home they and told me they they cant take my old matress because of a old stain and that upset me because I was not told that and was promised they would take the old mattress and when adressing them about it at that point Im trying to call the salesman because of whats going on, they then decided to start to try to steal the mattress which I already paid for so I had to rush to hold the mattress outside and threatening That I will call the police for theft which scared them to try and get away as soon and fast as possible. The contractors didn't even provide an invoice or something to sign saying the delivery is completed. Everything is recorded on my ring doorbell which I am more than happy to provide as evidence to the horendous experience which is Rooms To Go. The same salesman and store manage just kept throwing empty apologies since thats probably all they were trained on which isnt going to solve my issue and have poor customer service they just seemed to want keep provideing excuse after excuse isnstead of assisting in customer issues. Please change the company name to Rooms to Go Somewhere Else because that is what I will be doing and making sure everone I know...
