Lazy Dog is an ABSOLUTELY AWESOME place.
Flavor: I was blown away at how flavorful their American casual cuisine was. I have tried their breakfast entrees, dinner entrees and sides and have been thoroughly satisfied. If there would be a comparision Id rank it as significantly higher quality then Chilis, Bj's and at about at par with Cheesecake Factory except they actually make their own dishes from scratch. Also they have adjusted the dishes whenever we weren't 100% satisfied. They have a lot of sauces to jazz up anything you order.
Price: They have generous portion sizes and are affordable as well. Their happy hour snacks are excellently priced at 50% off too. For frugal folks or broke entrepeneurs like moi that is super attractive, grin.
Aesthetic: Their ambience is warm, inviting and gives you a Wyoming - Utah vibe like youre on a vacation in a log cabin. Woodsy, rocky, a large fireplace...they even let your doggies chill in their outer covered patio area and offer a dog menu too. So so so so cozy! I think it would be a perfect date night...getting all close next to the crackling fire... Lord I need a man, I digress
Customer Service: Friendly, big smiles as you enter, warm, kind and go the extra mile whenever we have gone. I have introduced many friends to this joint. This past time when I mentioned I brought a newbie, the manager gave a free appetizer for her first visit! Sarah, our very sweet waitress didnt even charge for the iced tea as I came in to redeem my birthday reward and she wrote Happy Birthday on the plate too. (My friend took me out for dinner already so we popped in after), "its your birthday girl, no tab for you". I was so touched by that gesture.
Top 10 Dessert Hall of Fame: Their butter cake is GLORIOUS. Its such a simple, unfussy concept, homey and comforting with the perfect balance of textures and flavors. MM mmm mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. And another mmm. I recommend you close your eyes on the first bite to catch all of the yum.
Fam, do yourself a favor and go try them out. You will not be disappointed. I am a forever customer and their free non influencer PR person now, hehe, after how well I have been treated and how consistently flavorful...
Read moreLong story short, this place is amazing and underrated. We came around 9pm on a Saturday night. While every other restaurant in Stafford still had wait times (if they were open), Lazy Dog surprisingly had a parking lot that wasn’t packed. Upon opening the menu while sitting in the car deciding where we are going to eat, I saw pictures of two appetizers that I wanted to try and made the executive decision that my friends and I would eat here.
We were greeted and sat immediately, and was promptly greeted by our server, Mikayla. Mikayla was super friendly and gave awesome recommendations aside from what was highlighted as popular by other patrons. We ended up with an appetizer trio consisting of feta hot honey dip, fried deviled eggs, and tikka meatballs. All were so good but we ended up adding bacon candy to the appetizers as well. We had mentioned to Mikayla that it was our first time dining in and after our appetizers arrived, the manager Scott came to our table to greet us and even provided us with another complimentary appetizer. For entrees our table ordered fried chicken dinner, fish and chips, and sweet & spicy ribs. The menu had a variety of foods from different regions of the planet, and while they all sounded amazing, the comfort food was what this night needed. Everything was fresh and tasty. Unfortunately, we were so excited to try everything that we didn’t remember to snap pictures. Luckily for you, the menu online has pictures of every dish they make, and what came to the table was presented exactly how it is online.
This place truly is a hidden gem. I can tell when all the employees are smiling, the manager is greeting all the customers, and everything was running efficiently and smoothly. Whether or not it was chaotic behind the scenes, Lazy Dog provided us with a welcoming atmosphere, clean bathrooms, friendly employees, and overall just good vibes. And with as much as we ordered and had to box up, the check was well under what I anticipated we would pay. My friends and I will definitely be coming back— if you decide to try this place out (and you better!), ask for Mikayla. She was very attentive and served us with good energy. HIGHLY...

Upon walking into the restaurant we were greeted properly by the appropriate staff members, and was promptly seated. We did arrive a little before 5 pm, so, keep that in mind.
The outside seating was great even for a hot summer day in Texas, we chose the inside. We were not really in mood to be out in nature so to speak. Now, moving on to the seating, it was great! Very big and tall friendly, my aunt and I were both comfortable in our seats, and had plenty of stomach room leftover. 😅
Now, for the appetizers we had the crispy deviled eggs, which were great by the way. You definitely should give them a try. NOW, let me tell you about their calamari, oooooweeeee! Their Asian inspired calamari sauce was perfection! I had it over a bed of steamed Jasmine rice. The calamari maintained it's "crispyness" even with the sauce over it, which I found to be a great thing, it was still crispy after it was reheated later that night. Mmmm so good 😊
For the main course I had the bison burger, medium well. That was my very first time ever eating a bison burger, let me tell you that I never want to go back to beef. It tasted like it was apple wood smoked, the meat was so tender and juicy, the cheese was so delicious, the mushrooms were so soft and delicate, the bread was so buttery and delicious, and that sauce that was on it, oooooweeeee! I want another one just from typing about it. 😋
They also have a beer club that is really great. My aunt said that the beer is amazing! And that she may end up keeping her membership.
We did get a complimentary garlic parmesan and chip dish for it being our first time (limited time only). They were pretty good.
Overall, I would definitely, and highly recommend that you and your family go out and give these lovely people a try. You definitely want regret it. There is something for everyone there.
They also have a frozen food line.
Enjoy! My...
