Donut Country — Restaurant in Medford

Stopped in yesterday to grab some donuts for breakfast as my family and I were traveling through Medford. The place wasn’t that busy but the gentleman at the counter seemed irritated or something. Nevertheless I get it, sometimes life sucks and you don’t want to be at work. But we ordered anyway. I left and got to my car and the order was wrong, my husband wanted to toss our Starbucks cups in the garbage before we left (this may be different in Medford, but where we live it’s not a big deal unless you’re trying to dispose of household garbage, which we weren’t) and the same man from behind the counter came out and angrily scolded my husband, accused him of not understanding common courtesy, and seemed super combative. I get it, you don’t want everyone throwing away coffee cups in your trash it adds up. We didn’t mean to offend anyone but we had just patronized the establishment. Again, where we live this is not an uncommon thing for someone to toss out a coffee cup if they’d just eaten at your restaurant.

Anyway, I don’t recommend. The donuts aren’t anything mind blowing. I’m sure you could locate a spot with a friendlier staff and the same kind of donuts, yeah they’re good. But not anything you can’t find anywhere else.

I love this place! My husband and I go and buy dozens at a time. Usually they are free game at our house. I didn't know he picked out the salted caramel for himself....well, I ate both during a late night sugar tooth fit. The next day, he is bummed because they are gone. So, being a good wife and the reason for his pout, I went to get him a full dozen. It's a busy day, stood in line, it's my turn, I place my order, get told it will take 10 mins to make. That's fine. I'll wait. I went and sat, time passed, and I saw the guy that took my order put them all in the case to be sold. That's was a first, they have always boxed them and called us up to pay. So, I get up, stand in line, place my order again with a different person, and go to pay. I overheard the second guy tell the first (who is now at the register and dealing with the person in front of me) charge this lady $15.50. I get up to the register, and the first guy opens the box, counts them, and charges me $18. I'm going to assume he is new and or overwhelmed with the amount of customers that day. I love this place! Horrible customer service. First of all my children and I waited in line for 40 mins lined up down the street to get their donuts. Then when it's finally our turn I accidentally missed their speaker box because it was raining and I didn't hear anybody saying anything so I drove up to the first window and they just turned me and two other cars away because we accidentally missed their speaker box! I was wondering why the white truck in front of us sped off so fast. I explained to them that I didn't hear anybody at the speaker box and they said they could not take my order and that I had to leave. The owner was in the back saying she needs to go we have cars waiting! They refused to take my order! What's strange is that they said they could sell me 2 donuts but not a full box! What??? I told them I don't want just a couple, I have kids and a sick husband at home and I just drove from Phoenix for these donuts! But they refused. Apparently based on the reviews this happens A LOT.
