We have been there twice in the last 10 days. Our friends described this as a greasy spoon, but believe me, I have been in places that deserve that title where it was a challenge to hold onto the spoon. I am not happy with the Mexican restaurants in Medford, so for my wife and I to return twice (and going again this Friday) to one place, that means something special. On my last visit I had Huevos Rancheros, with the eggs over easy. First, it is high quality food and the cook takes pride in the visual appearance of what he creates. My wife's taco omelet and my huevos were both photogenic, and delicious. On our first visit to Memo's, our friends wanted us to experience the biscuits and gravy. I am not a big fan of this dish but at Memo's it is brought to a high level. It was wonderful. We ordered that again but this time my wife ordered the large size-- way to big for two people plus the other dished we ate. But wonderful. Our waitress, Sissy, was a down-to-earth woman that brought a smile to our faces. This place is a treasure. I thank our friends, John and Young, for introducing us to Memo's (nickname for Guillermo, the owner). We shall return often. PS. returned for our 3rd visit and brought friends JK and MK. Read moreI can't believe I didn't find this place earlier. When searching for a breakfast restaurant today I ran across this place and it sounded interesting. I'm so grateful I chose to eat here, because it will now be my go-to breakfast and Mexican restaurant in the valley! The atmosphere reminds me of a southern Texan roadside place, although nicer than many I've visited. It is clean, quaint and friendly with an old school western vibe hosting incredible Mexican cuisine. All food is fresh and made from old family recipes with love and care. Memo runs the kitchen and his competent staff help create and deliver some of the best Mexican (and American) food I've had in a very, very long time. This isn't really an Americanized Mexican restaurant, but is more like it was ripped from the back streets of La Paz, Guadalajara or a small Oaxaca town. Simple, good old fashioned home cooking with an American touch right here in Medford, Oregon. A must visit for anyone looking for a good meal that's not a chain restaurant. Try it. You won't be...
Read moreWaked down from Midas and had an amazing breakfast at 10:30 am on a Friday. Sat at window at a clean booth well supplied with condiments for food and coffee. Friendly service from Quin.
I ordered the Chicken Fried Steak with two eggs cooked perfect over medium and asked for the hash browns crispy and they were. None of my food had that awful grill flavored butter oil and my toasted English muffins we overflowing with whipped butter not margarine spread.
I have gotten used to the frozen chicken fried steak that most restaurants use because of convenience but this really caught me by surprise… fresh tender no griddle steak with perfect batter.
Just found out that my server is Memo’s son and wow it is so great to see a true family restaurant.
There is a lot of great places to walk around when getting work done at Midas but so glad I stopped bye here. I can’t wait to come back.
Thanks Memo for waking up each day to server your community and be with family I...
