Shopping at Sleep Number in Medford, Oregon was a pleasure. We were there for several hours trying out the various mattresses and getting a complete education about the mattresses and how they function. Laurie, the saleswoman who helped us was incredibly patient, explained everything fully and completely. There wasn't a question that went unanswered. Laurie even stayed 2 hours past her quitting time to help us. She was wonderful.
We purchased a bed, sheets, mattress cover and a pillow. Laurie went over all the charges with us in detail. She also explained the App one can get with the purchase of the mattress that will assess how well an individual is sleeping on the mattress. Pretty amazing stuff.
It is wise to take one's time when shopping for a mattress. A lot of time in each day is spent on one. We literally tried every mattress in the store and we feel we got the one that was just right for us, thanks to Laurie working with us and making adjustments to the settings for each mattress. She also encouraged us to go back and forth between two of the mattresses we felt were the best for us to make sure we picked the right one.
My wife and I were extremely pleased with Laurie and the wonderful service she gave us. We know we will love our new bed. Sleep Number should be proud and pleased to have a representative...
Read moreMy issue is not the store but the product. I ordered a replacement cover & air chambers on April 3 it was supposed be 4-7 days to process order. I called on April 17 since I hadn't received anything & no tracking info on site. They told me their was an issue with manufacturer of cover but it wouldn't be long. We split the order as air chamber was in stock (mine was leaking) and received it within a week. Fast forward 2 MONTHS still nothing on cover. Called again on June 4, same spiel on manufacturer issue but soon. Requested a discount since I'm paying interest on an item I have not received, "nothing they can do and I just have to be patient". I wasso pleased with my bed, I bought 1 for my mother & she's had nothing but problems with air chambers had them replaced twice in 5 years, at a cost each time! I will never recommend their beds! In fact I went elsewhere to purchase a 3rd & 4th beds Ghost beds from Costco they're not sleepnumber but they are adjustable, no issues with them! With sleepnumber I have had nothing but headaches & poor customer experiences. Don't buy!!!
Received your reply I have already spent over a hour hour on each of my calls to that number! If you want to help, look up my information my call was placed at...
Read moreThis is a general sleep number review as I did not purchase from the store, but did not see how to tie the review to the company overall.
I'm disappointed with the product. The smell was terrible (off-gassing I later read about related to the rubber bladders) and made my wife and I sick for a few nights before we realized what was going on.
The bad was ok, (p6), but def. felt like sleeping on a glorified air mattress. Might work well for some, but for the money, there are many other options out there that might work better without the smell issues.
I called customer service to return the bed and was told I still needed to wait the 30 days as part of the trial.I explained why I was returning the mattress and that it would just be sitting in my spare room until then. I was told "yes, you'll need to leave it there and wait."
I plan to ask for free return shipping after this disaster but am not impressed with customer service or company policies so far, so we'll see. I'll be sure to let those who ask about my experience bed shopping not to bother with sleep number. Sleep is a real battle for many and it shouldn't be made harder...
