Service customers beware. You're reading reviews here because either a) you're looking to have your appliance serviced or b) you did like us and attempted to have your appliance serviced here and want to see how other people were treated. If a) run! You're appliance will not be serviced. If b), I feel your pain. We brought my moms 50's range for wire repairs, burner replacement and the primary concern was the oven didn't work. We're from Sacramento so it's a 6-7 hour drive to Medford. But on the phone they "were so nice" (my moms words) and promised they could do all the work. It took a few months for us to make arrangements to make the drive costing a nights hotel room, gas and a day of vacation time. They quickly took the range and no paperwork we were on our way home with a 7-10 day turn around promise. 2-weeks later nothing. 4-weeks later nothing. 6-weeks later we're coming to get the range. "oh, it'll be ready". Coincidentally we're in Oregon for a family function, tow an extra trailer to bring it home. IT'S NOT READY. HASN'T BEE TOUCHED. 2-more weeks go by and we're coming to pick it up. "oh, we can't find an oven element, we can't find the switch for the light". We don't care, we just want the range back. We rent a truck, take another day off work, drive 6 hours and pick it up. It's in the shop, parts of other appliances stacked on it, it's dirty, and the oven doesn't work, the light doesn't work, the burner has a hose clamp holding the ceramic element in. They said they cleaned it and "ooo look how shiny the chrome is". Wasted a lot of money on transportation alone and way, way too much money for what little work was done. They did "fix" two burnt wires but I didn't know wire nuts were a proper oven fix. Please learn from our nightmare, read other horrible reviews, and don't take your appliance here, you won't be happy.

Read moreIf I could give them a negative star I would. I am extremely disappointed with the service provided by Alan at Surgeon Family Appliance. It took them an unacceptable two plus months to repair my stove. The entire process was marred by terrible communication, disorganization, and dishonesty. From the start, the company showed a lack of professionalism. I had to constantly chase them for updates, as they rarely kept me informed about the status of the repair. Whenever I managed to get in touch, I was given conflicting information and empty promises. It was clear that there was no coordination or accountability within their team. Despite multiple assurances that my stove would be fixed "soon," the repair dragged on for months beyond what was initially promised. Each delay came with a new excuse, and it became apparent that they were not being truthful about the reasons for the holdup. This level of deceit is unacceptable in any service industry. Alan kept over promising and under delivering. He quit answering my calls and the only way to communicate with him was by text, which seldom got a reply. I would not recommend Surgeon Family Appliance to anyone. Their lack of communication, organization, and integrity has left me deeply dissatisfied. Avoid this company if you value your...
Read moreWhat started out ok ended horribly and sadly these folks never made their mistakes right. I was patient and understanding with the delays in returning my calls but after spending over $400 for parts and labor to repair a “good” dishwasher I realized I’d been had. I paid for an expensive part and when it was installed and didn’t work I was told it was actually a different problem. For months and months after that I called only to be told they were still waiting for some o rings? Really? I finally called another company to diagnose the problem and low and behold I found out that the new, very expensive part that I had already paid for was bad as well. It was because they had never figured out what was causing the electrical short in the first place. Then, instead of owning their mistake they blew me off.
This company is as dishonest as the day is long. They didn’t even have the professional courtesy to say “we’re sorry” they just never called at all. I would never recommend this business to anyone and if you do hire them, only pay them after the entire job is complete and your machine is actually working. Shame on me for trusting that a business will do what they say they will do. I learned my lesson...
