Ok, so I haven't had it in a while so decided to place order online. Website says if you register they will give you 20% off. I got there and the guy said that was just a promotion and a bunch of other excuses. Multiple reasons he wouldn't honor what the website says. That is bait and switch. I call bullcrap. Take it off your website if you aren't going to honor it! So dishonest. And... I ordered a salad and got home to a cooked salad. Who puts piping hot oven baked fries on top of and in the same bag as a salad? And a pizza under the salad. Its not brain surgery. Whatever cheese on the salad was melted and the salad was inedible. Pizza was ok. For less money and food that is just as good if not better, I can go 2 blocks down and get Double Decker. They are at least $8-10 cheaper for the same order and they honor their online discounts and rewards program. No wonder I was the only one there. If you jip your customers, they don't come back. Its a shame, our entire family went there since...
Read moreI have been an apollo pizza lover since 1984 when I moved to Wallingford. During the 90's they hit the Best of Philly in Philadelphia magazine. Then, the owners sold the business and it has gone horribly down hill.
On three, 3, different occasions, the last one last week, I ordered a pepperoni pizza. Once again, I got a slithering mass of cheese that slid off the dough all to one side. I even waited for it to cool down They slather it with oil, greasy greasy oil all over your hands. It is an absolute crime what these owners (I think there were two since the first) have done to this business. Whatever you do, skip the pizza, It isn't the award winning one, although these people advertise it as so. the LAST TIME they were Best of Philly was over 20 years ago in the 1990's. Such a shame, they were my absolute favorite at...
Read moreI thought this place was terrible, especially for the price. I ordered one vegetarian pizza and a salad for pick up and it cost about $30. Outrageous. When I got to the store to pick up the pizza, the owner or manager or whatever was complaining to a customer in line before me about how his business is doing poorly. If I had to guess...it's because you complain to customers about your life and make crappy food that is overpriced. When I got home I discovered the pizza was bland and flavorless (canned ingredients) and the salad was all crappy iceberg lettuce with canned mushrooms. Gross. It was disappointing. Not only will I never go back, but I would never recommend this place to anyone. Don't waste your time or money. There are plenty of other pizza places...
