I have to share….we have used Apollo pizza since we moved into Media 30 years ago. We moved out of the area 3 years ago and any time we pass we make sure to stop. I had company last night and my daughter said she would stop and pick it up. I was so embarrassed…..it was burnt (see photos)! I called last night there were closed by the time company left. This morning I called and I received an apology…..he said it was unacceptable….offered ‘next time I’m in, we can make you two pizzas’ but again, I don’t live close, he never took my name so I don’t know why they would honor that. I was hoping for a refund since the pizza has gone in the trash!

I was very pleased with my Cheesesteak Royal. I wish they would have told me my cheesesteak was done especially since I was the only one waiting for my order. It came with fried onions, mushrooms, peppers, sauce and pizza cheese melted on top. The roll was toasted. It had a very good amount of me. I don't think I loved the meat but it was good. The extras added a lot of very good flavor. The sauce added flavor and juiciness. There was a lot of cheese melted on top. You definitely needed bite discipline to make sure you got cheese with your steak and extras.

I live in lower Delaware and I happened to come across this pizza place looking for another place where parking wasn't as convenient. I'm really glad that I stopped in. I think a lot of people in this area of the country take for granted the awesome pizza that they have. While people in the area may mark this Pizza with lower scores. For me, this is one of the best pizza places around and beats anything in Delaware my opinion. Sauce had a hint of sweetness, and garlic flavor is very present in a good way. Crust was fantastic in taste & consistency and zero flop!

Ok, so I haven't had it in a while so decided to place order online. Website says if you register they will give you 20% off. I got there and the guy said that was just a promotion and a bunch of other excuses. Multiple reasons he wouldn't honor what the website says. That is bait and switch. I call bullcrap. Take it off your website if you aren't going to honor it! So dishonest. And... I ordered a salad and got home to a cooked salad. Who puts piping hot oven baked fries on top of and in the same bag as a salad? And a pizza under the salad. Its not brain surgery. Whatever cheese on the salad was melted and the salad was inedible. Pizza was ok. For less money and food that is just as good if not better, I can go 2 blocks down and get Double Decker. They are at least $8-10 cheaper for the same order and they honor their online discounts and rewards program. No wonder I was the only one there. If you jip your customers, they don't come back. Its a shame, our entire family went there since...

I have been an apollo pizza lover since 1984 when I moved to Wallingford. During the 90's they hit the Best of Philly in Philadelphia magazine. Then, the owners sold the business and it has gone horribly down hill.

On three, 3, different occasions, the last one last week, I ordered a pepperoni pizza. Once again, I got a slithering mass of cheese that slid off the dough all to one side. I even waited for it to cool down They slather it with oil, greasy greasy oil all over your hands. It is an absolute crime what these owners (I think there were two since the first) have done to this business. Whatever you do, skip the pizza, It isn't the award winning one, although these people advertise it as so. the LAST TIME they were Best of Philly was over 20 years ago in the 1990's. Such a shame, they were my absolute favorite at...

I thought this place was terrible, especially for the price. I ordered one vegetarian pizza and a salad for pick up and it cost about $30. Outrageous. When I got to the store to pick up the pizza, the owner or manager or whatever was complaining to a customer in line before me about how his business is doing poorly. If I had to guess...it's because you complain to customers about your life and make crappy food that is overpriced. When I got home I discovered the pizza was bland and flavorless (canned ingredients) and the salad was all crappy iceberg lettuce with canned mushrooms. Gross. It was disappointing. Not only will I never go back, but I would never recommend this place to anyone. Don't waste your time or money. There are plenty of other pizza places...
