Joining the House of Arts family is the best decision I have made for myself in a very long time. From the moment I walked in the door, I knew I found a place that I would be committed to for a long time to come.
Professor Thiago not only possesses a deep knowledge, love and passion for Jiu Jitsu, but he transfers that passion and energy to all his students at every class. He cares so deeply about each of his students and their personal success, whatever their goals may be. He has created a family at House of Arts. Everyone who trains here is so welcoming and supportive of each other. As someone brand new to the sport, I was very anxious when I first started coming to classes. However, all of the men and women I have trained with have went out of their way to make me feel comfortable, to answer my questions, to provide me advice and feedback, and offer me their free time. I have learned so much in such a short time, and I truly look forward to each day of training.
In addition to Jiu Jitsu, House of Arts offers Judo and MMA and the Professors of these classes are top notch and just as welcoming. They all make a new person feel right at home and throw you right into the mix.
The gym is clean and professional, and the schedule is diverse. There are so many opportunities to train throughout the week with convenient day and evening classes that can fit into anyone’s busy lifestyle.
Whether you are looking for competitive sport, self-defense, or to improve your fitness and healthy lifestyle, Professor Thiago and all the students here will help you and push you to achieve your goals; and you will meet some great friends...
Read moreI'm surprised I haven't reviewed this. I thought I had a review up - maybe the old location.
Hoa Jujitsu is one of the places I always advocate to parents. The staff there are amazing and the owner truly cares about the community that inhabits his gym.
I am able to send both my kids to the same class, where they have the same friends and learn the same things at their own pace.
We sent my son after some trouble with another kid. Two years of training later he came home really upset and it was over the frustration of having to hold back against another kid at his school who had been bothering him.
Having that kind of agency is amazing. It is a very relaxed space - kids learn discipline and perseverance through doing. There are expectations but their is support and understanding too.
It's year round, and I highly recommend it. At some point I'll drag my old tired carcass in and start,...
Read moreI’ve been training jiujitsu for about 10 years now and the past three years have been at House of Arts. In these 10 years, I’ve been to a lot of academies all over the world. When you’ve been a part of something for as long as I have you truly understand what right looks like. House of arts is a top notch Academy with a dedicated, humble, professional and friendly instructor/owner, Tiago Thomaz. Tiago is a wealth of knowledge and understands the aspects of jujitsu being the street, the art and the sport. My fellow students have become a second family to me. We are all constantly helping to advance each other in jiujitsu and personal development. I highly recommend House of arts for anyone looking to get into the sport/lifestyle or trying to find a...
