I been going to Zen Nails for quite a while at that location in Delaware University Plaza my nail tech is Jack he is so amazing and does a amazing job but I I had the worst experience with them because they scheduled me a appointment and when I got there they doubled scheduled two people at the same time then the owner ended up doing my nails which I was not satisfied with so I told him to stop doing my nails and I scheduled for the next day with Jack the next day I went back and they told me that I never scheduled a appointment again!!!!!!! When I was there the first day I had paid for my nails the next day when I went back they try to tell me that I never paid when that was an embarrassment to me and I had to pull up my statement from the bank. Embarrass me in front of all customers. I still did not say anything about the situation. Now it’s three weeks down the road I’m trying to go in to their nail salon again after going through all that but when I was calling them they put me on block mode ….. they are not professional at all I’ve never had to deal with something like this in my life sorry that I had to write so much but I need everyone to know what I’ve been through at the salon ….. Because I don’t want anybody else going through the same thing...
Read moreMy first (and probably last experience) at Zen was mostly okay: nice pedicure chairs, TVs, friendly staff, clean, yada yada yada. I came in with a coupon for a $30 mani-pedi (I do like coupons!), but when I went to pay, the lady charged me $40 because apparently the kind of gel polish she suggested I try was $10 extra . She claimed she told me this in advance, but I'm pretty sure I would remember and promptly reject such an offer (she had me under the impression it was included with the coupon, as I asked about it a few times). So my coupon ended up being useless AND the gel polish on my thumb nail peeled right off 3 hours later (and AGAIN 1 day later, after going back to get it redone... then 2 days later, it started peeling off the rest of my nails). I'm sure some people have no problem with this place (IF you don't mind the staff speaking their native language in front of you. I don't mind this but I know many people do), but I personally felt a little cheated due to my salon worker's selective wording. And they clearly didn't do a very good job if the polish peels off 3 hours/days later.

Read moreI've had two bad experiences in a row, so I'll be taking my business elsewhere. First, I had a gel manicure that was very rushed and started peeling off after about a week. Second, I had another gel manicure on my lunch break on a Friday... by the end of the work day one of my nails was already peeling. I went back after work and the woman repaired that nail but then on Sunday evening (yes, two days later), half of my thumb nail has already peeled off and I can tell several others are not far behind. It's obviously not worth my time to go get it fixed again. Both times the women rushed through the work. This last time she was putting tons of polish on then just wiping it off the edges - so it was then just pooling at the cuticle as it cured so obviously it's going to peel off. I'm no professional, but I've had my nails done enough times to know that is NOT the best technique for a gel manicure. So... I won't be back. I recommend finding...
