Parking is not efficient. But once you have parking, the distance for walking is only a few minutes. When inside, the interior is very clean and kept up. The Server is very attentive and observant. And service overall is excellent. Came in for lunch with my son and the food is quite flavorful with amazing authenticity. Heres what we decided to say to help those who want to try something new, but dont know where to start. For basic to avid adventurous flavor palettes most of the dark currys can be put on the Basmati rice, (an indian type of white rice). But its heavily dependent on your taste buds and what you like to mix things up with. My son tried all the curries and rice and said that for him, its recommended that if you try the kadi pakora, a chick pea yellow curry, to put it over the Vegetable Biryani, which is an indian style fried rice. How ever, what you decide to do, is up to you. But when you have the goat curry, it is recommended to eat it carefully as it has small bones inside, how ever the meat is very tender and flavorful.
If you want something very... strong and quite heavy on the taste bud, with extreme authentic flavor, theres the mixed pickles. Be warned, not for the faint of heart and only try very little to see how you like it. Very strong on flavor and personally i enjoy the flavor quite a lot.
For dessert, its very unique and you might like it, I'll save that experience for all of you to find out your selves :).
I hope this helped, Enjoy.
P.s my son written this review, so hope this...
Read moreFood is not bad, but I'm going to comment on the music, since they are trying to be a music venue also.
Shere-E-Punjab used to have a great open mic session every week, it had real potential, however they hardly advertised for it at all, and as a result, the turnout was very inconsistent. The bands hosting it were fabulous. However they tried to have too many hosting bands, I think rotating three different bands, which may have been a problem.
Without warning, they reduced the open mic sessions to every other week, rotating two bands, which made no sense. Even less people came out.
Without warning again, they reduced it to only one night a month, and it barely gets a mention on their social media. This unfortunately seems to be a nail in the coffin for their open mic session, which is a real shame, because Media needs an open mic bad, especially now with the closure of Off the Rail, right down the street.
Wish the owners would get their head on straight and realize what kind of potential is available to them, with the dense local artist population. Not having a properly advertised, managed and supported WEEKLY open mic session in Media is a serious shame.
Edit- I always check your social media as well as the posters on your front window, and the open mic barely gets a mention anymore…it’s not even listed on the posters anymore ….and as a result, the turnout is...
Read moreProbably the worst place I've ever eaten at. The food was ok. The service was realy bad. I asked for paper napkins before I started my lunch and the guy(probably the manager, older person) there just made a face indicating that there already is a cloth napkin(I knew about it and I still needed paper napkin to drain the extra oily samosa and tikki). He did not even say a single word in response to my request. Then I asked for tandoori roti instead of naan and again he listens and walks of without a verbal response. Roti did not show up for 10-15 minutes. So, I asked another server who passed by table and instead of telling that it is being prepared, the guy tells me "roti takes long time to prepare" . No real response that anyone would expect. My roti comes right after I get up from my table and ready to leave. The second guy who brought the roti throws it in trash can in front of my face and says a couple of bad words in his language(i guess). I do not recommend this place at all. I am never going here again and anyone who reads this should not waste your...
