On a positive note, service was good and staff friendly. As for the food . . . Maybe it was an off day, this was some of the worst Chinese food ever. I ordered chicken and vegetables in a white sauce. Tasteless. Chicken was unrecognizable. Giant, flat pieces of rubbery, fatty meat. I couldn't even chew it. You'd need a knife to cut it into bite sized pieces. How do you make chicken fatty? Spring rolls we're the day's chef special, they were filled with brown mush and brown vegetables. Food took over an hour and a half to arrive, we called multiple times to ask about the status of the order and were assured the order was on the way. Read moreI've had quite a lot of American Chinese food in the Tri-state area, but Yangtze Inn is by far the best: generous portions, good quality of food, unusual complementary goodies (they include bags of oolong tea in the delivery bag), reasonable prices and efficient service.
It's typical for places like this to skimp out on the meat in a noodle dish or only partially fill the container, but not here. If you don't feel like cooking tonight, this is one of your best options...
