It’s a tourist area so you have to expect to get gouged with high prices. We did expect that and weren’t surprised to find the prices extreme. What we didn’t expect was food that we could have gotten from a meal cart in a third world country. Saddest burger I’ve ever had. Was supposed to have caramelized onion and literally had a single strand of onion covering about 5% of the patty. The lettuce was wilted and it was as bland as it gets. We ordered two fries and this was even repeated back to us. Apparently we only paid for one (we assumed we paid for two since the total price was so high). There was only one order of fries. When returned to window was made to pay for second order, which was fine but the first order was cold as it was the last of the fries left and was scraped together to make a full order of fries. Having to wait on the second order to be cooked made the first batch even colder. Not at all worth the money. Basic food at gourmet prices. Gave it two stars only because guy at window was polite. Don’t let the fancy signs and slick sauce names throw you off. This is a glorified carnival...
Read moreOf all the places we dined at in Medora, Sheriff Bear’s Burgers and Ice Cream truly delivered the wow factor.
The burger was hands down the best I had during our 2.5-week trip and honestly, it might be the best burger I’ve ever had while traveling anywhere.
The fries were also memorable, topped with parmesan cheese and served with a flavorful dipping sauce. I also enjoyed the chocolate, banana, and strawberry milkshake, it was a great treat.
My only regret is that we didn’t eat here more than once. I’ll definitely make it a priority to stop by again if I’m ever back in the area.
The cashier was incredibly friendly. While I didn’t catch his name, he mentioned he’d be graduating soon. He had such passion for what he does, one of those people you feel lucky to...
Read moreI understand that Medora is a tourist town and so things will be over priced but 8 dollars for a burger with practically nothing on it and not including any drink or fries was steep. For 3 burgers and 2 lemonades it was 37 dollars and we were all starving after. Also the lemonade I was given at first has had to have been rotten because I almost had to spit out the sip I took. They did redo the lemonade I will give them that, but previous to that the service was extremely rude. We approached the counter and they did not say hi or anything and there was no menu saying the prices or what they offered for lunch (even though it was a lunch hour) so we asked and they replied rudely like we did something wrong. The live music was nice but overall I would not...
