Bizzarro’s Italian Restaurant & Pizzeria — Restaurant in Melbourne

I have been ordering from this same pizza place for several years now. It is our favorite type of pizza and we always recommend it to family and friends.

For the past few months when we order for family night or date night it seems like it's the same story...2 hour delivery times and the staff that answers the phone some how " forgot to put our order in". Did i mention they try and make you feel like you have the wrong place and your card was never charged. Its a shame.

It used to have that old school mom and pop feel but now it seems like they lost their quality of care for their customers. Typically i would not care if my pizza order was lost and things happen, however this is not the first time. The fact the staff said that i had the wrong bizzaros and that i never made a order to try and shy away that they did not in fact even put my order in, just rubbed me wrong for the last time. Also to tell me they declined my payment, even after convincing me i ordered from the wrong place...my payment was never canceled and i was charged.

Did i mention after 2 hours of waiting they said they would get a pizza over in another 45 mins?

They charged me then said sorry wrong pizza place....this is not...

I ordered 2 pizzas one lrg 1/2 pepperoni 1/2 pepperoni and bacon. Which that one was fine. Then I ordered a 14 in. (Small) chicken with a little extra sauce. That one not so much was it good. When my husband picked it up and brought it home I looked at the small one and was like where's the chicken on the pizza. I said the pizza looks like a sauce pizza with light chicken. I called the restaurant and explained it to the girl who answered the phone. She asked me to hang on because she thought it went by weight for the chicken. She came back and said yes that is how it is with chicken. I was like there is hardly no chicken. There is not even a handful on the whole pizza. She was well we can give you a free topping on our next pizza. I was like well I have chicken pizza from them before and it was not like this before. I also told her I would talk to owner in IndiaAtlantic. And she was like well all are owned by individual people. I said ok and before I could say anything else she hung up on me. Great way to treat your customers. I won't be ordering from this Bazzarros again. I will drive out of my way for a different one. This is the first one that I have had bad service...

The workers were nice and helpful. The food was good. A little heavy on the basil maybe? But I liked it regardless and would eat here again. The salad was nice and very green... not just a bunch of cheap iceberg lettuce. The meat sauce for spaghetti was great... a lot of meat in it, you don’t need extra meatballs if you just like meat sauce. The garlic knots...hmmm.. doughy like they should be, but the butter on them tasted like movie theater butter. It wasn’t even bad necessarily, just different and could be better. This restaurant seems to have a lot of fresh food so I was surprised by the garlic knots that seemed to have fake butter. Still the place was decent and I would eat here again. Also the pizza was good. I’m from NY.... it’s not my favorite Ny pizza place but it’s a fine alternative. I can take one look at pizza and know if it’s going to be good. I would have liked a better sauce/pizza ratio, but it was fine and I didn’t mind it. Oh also... the pasta fagioli... that was a miss. Very oily, not enough in the soup vs broth. Very harsh/dark flavor...overseasoned I guess. All the food tasted heavy on the basil but it was ok...
