If you’re considering this college’s nursing school, you can do better. I graduated with a 3.6 GPA at age 44—I wasn’t a slacker or someone looking to blame others. I worked hard, passed my classes, and still feel deeply disappointed in the quality of this program. The issues are not isolated; they are structural.

⸻

Advising is Either Hostile or Useless • Nursing advisor: condescending and dismissive. During a scheduled 30-minute meeting, I was scolded for asking open-ended questions. I was told her time was too valuable for anything but yes-or-no answers—she was clearly more interested in ending the appointment early than actually advising. • General advising: friendly but uninformed. Multiple advisors told me, word-for-word, “We don’t know what the prerequisites for the nursing program are.” How are students supposed to plan their education when even the staff doesn’t know the requirements?

⸻

Professors Were Not Trained on the Software They’re Required to Use

Canvas is the main learning platform, yet many instructors clearly had no idea how to use it. Important links didn’t work. Assignments were posted with no instructions. Grades were often late or missing. It created unnecessary stress every week, and it’s clear the administration wasn’t willing to provide adequate tech training.

⸻

The Nursing Program is Disorganized and Out of Touch • The director of the nursing program is out of sync with what students actually need to succeed. There was no structured NCLEX prep, no test strategy support, and little focus on critical thinking—just rigid, outdated content delivery. • Instructors often acted unprofessionally. For example: more than once, I was given a two-hour exam—but partway through, the instructor would cut the time short without warning. One even told the class we had 15 minutes left, then left early to go home. These weren’t one-offs—they were part of a pattern of poor planning and disregard for students’ success.

⸻

You’ll Graduate—But You’ll Be on Your Own

Yes, if you work hard, you can earn your degree. But make no mistake: you will be teaching yourself for large chunks of the program. If you want a nursing school that actually prepares you to be a nurse—this isn’t it.

⸻

Bottom line: There are better nursing programs with staff who support students and care about outcomes. This program isn’t just disappointing—it’s disorganized, outdated, and at times openly disrespectful. Choose another...

Professors do not check to make sure their courses are uploaded, or even completed being developed, before releasing for start of term. Syllabus changes happen well after add drop week. No responsibility is ever taken on the professors part, even though their one and only job is to make sure the course that was released is functional. Almost seems like the college wants you to fail so they get more tuition when you have to retake the class. Youll have no contact or communication if you take classes online, professors do not create video lectures or make themselves a part of any class. Check RATEMYPROFESSOR website before signing up for anything, its a life saver to avoid the many professors with bad attitudes and control issues. Been here 3 years with no designated advisor for the Business Management A.S degree. (in fairness we had a really great one start last year but she quit after a few months) so theres no guidance for your education track and nobody to reach out to directly with questions without booking an appointment with different people every time. None of them seem to know what any of the classes are, what is taught in them, what the average workload is, or how it would fit you and your goals. The title 'advisor' is laughable. $40 PER SEMESTER parking fee if you take in person classes.. You're actually expected to buy this even if youre an online only student and need to visit campus for 5 minutes to get a book or see an advisor apparently, as i learned today after being chased through the parking lot by a screaming police officer who literally made me burst into tears with his anger issues while interrogating me as to why i was there when all i was trying to do was register for a class at the main office with an advisor that i already had an appointment to see. Couldnt even make it past the parking lot before getting absolutely berated and harassed for no parking sticker since im an online student. Horrible college. Do not waste your money here. Go to FIT. Go to Valencia. Go to UCF. Heck, move across the country and go ANYWHERE else. I have 1 class left and this place has killed any thoughts i had of continuing my...

I have been going to this school for around two years now and it has been nothing but constant problems. Professors are not all that bad. For me it is mostly the way the school is run. Customer support sucks. eBrevard is a waste of money. They dropped me from a class because I did not complete a stupid "Introduce Yourself" thing at the beginning of the semester (before it was clearly advertised as it is now) even though I did all the other work and had an A in the class. Then refused to readmit me into the class based on that. The testing labs are a joke. The one at the Library refuses to let you have the book with you when your Professor says you can use it. There is even little privacy areas where you sit to take a test and there is plenty of room for you to have your book there after they make sure your not sneaking in stuff. The other lab where you are supposedly allow to have the book has not room for you to sit it...

Lastly, the major thorn in my side is advising. I sat down with an adviser to figure out what I was missing to finish my AA so that I can get out of this horrible horrible school and move on with my bachelors at a more reputable school. Adviser was nice, but it turns I was notified after I submitted the graduation request that I could not graduate because I was missing a social credit. The whole reason why I sat down with the guy was to figure out what I was missing but on top of that he didn't! SO I was notified a week before graduation that I would be able to graduate if I completed the certain credits... in one week. I turned in the request half way through the first summer term and they didn't notify me until the END OF THE SECOND. A whole semester had gone by before they had even processed my application! Now I have to pay an extra fee because I was decline graduation once!

I'm absolutely disgusted with this school and I recommend to anyone that they are better off going to another college where they will not be receiving a cookie cutter - made of cheap materials education for only a little bit more...
