We came to Indiatlantic on vacation. We chose Long Doggers because of the name. We ate there Tuesday night after getting into town. The service was friendly and it was pretty fast to be seated. The food was amazing and the beer was ice cold. After we ate and where about to leave the owner asked how everything was and I responded... perfect! I thanked him for the great food and experience and vowed.. "We will be back and eat here again this week". Fast forward to Saturday night.. our last night in town. The family was hankering for some burgers. We got the pretzel bites as an appetizer. My youngest son exclaimed " I must have went to a different universe!" when tasting the pretzel bites and beer cheese for the first time. The food came quickly and the waitress was beyond friendly! The 3 of us that had the burgers all decided that they were one of the best we have ever had. We were offered dessert but there was no way on God's green earth that we were going to fit any more food into our now stuffed bellies. If you want to have one of the best burgers in the world, don't think twice and go to this Long Doggers. I guarantee you will not be disappointed eating here. If you somehow are, which is highly unlikely, aliens must have abducted the entire staff and tried to make their own food and pass it off as Long Doggers. If that is the case, well at least you got to have an experience...
Read moreI’ve been coming to LD for at least five years. Today, and don’t laugh I’m serious, the food was exceptional. Being the owner of a restaurant that is known for its quality and consistency I will tell you the kitchen hit the mark on the most important variable after food quality and temperature and that is building the sandwich properly. Whomever was in the kitchen built our chili cheese dog with mustard and onions to perfection. Each bite was the same as the first. Moreover it was appealing to the eye. The burgers were the same…great job!! One little glitch…I really like your onion rings. However, today the onion rings tasted like raw flour and cardboard. Ooops never happened before, don’t expect it again…if this wasn’t a to go order I would have bought a round of beers for the kitchen and thrown them 50 bucks.
Don’t care if it’s a grilled cheese off a food truck or a Michelin 3 star restaurant. Do what you do and do it great. Today it was exceptional!
Again keep it up and whoever was in the kitchen teach teach teach…
Welp, obviously lessons were not learned. Burger buns were stale, chili was bland and tasteles and I think I counted 8; little diced onions……consistency is...
Read moreGetting through Corona '20, most of us would say we miss being able to dine out. So, it was awesome hitting some old familiar places, with my son.
We've to been to Long Doggers, but first time either of us had been to this location. For dinner, around 8:45, they close at 10.
We both started out with a cup of Clam Chowda. Mine was barely luke warm, at best. I sent it in for some heat therapy. Delicious hodgepodge of ingredients, when hot enough.
My son ordered the Patty Melt Dog, which is the long dog, American cheese, grilled onions, bacon and 1000 Island Dressing. He got his with fries and the 11 cent cole slaw. He gave me two thumbs up.
I strayed from any of my usual choices, such as a fish sandwich or a dog. I chose the Pineapple Pork Grinder. That is Mojo pork, crispy fried onions and a couple slices of pineapple drizzled with a sriracha lime sauce. As sides I got black beans & rice, and slaw. I really liked the flavor combinations, it was different. Probably might ask for more sriracha sauce next time.
Bella was our server. She took excellent care of our needs, especially while having to wear a mask. Our hats are off to all of those...
