The Pizza Place MLB — Restaurant in Melbourne

If I could give 0 stars I would! My family and I went to the mall for a small outing and lunch, my 9 year old wanted pizza so I ordered him pizza from this place. My son got 1 slice of cheese pizza. The man behind the counter that was cooking the pizza grabbed the slice from the tray on the counter and stuck it in the oven to heat. While our slice was heating the man grabbed a blue microfiber rag from the SINK (not a sanitizer bucket) and wiped the counter around the pizzas and while he was wipping he grabbed melted cheese off one of the pizza trays and shoved it it his mouth. He continued to wipe the area. He had blue gloves on but did not change out for new gloves and continued to serve in the same gloves and he then grabbed my sons slice of pizza out of the oven. My son wanted breadsticks as well but I told him no because I just watched that man do all that with his hands. I didn't say anything to the man or the lady cashier because I am a deflector and a FOH manager at a restaurant and didn't want the confrontation so I paid for the slice of pizza and walked us back to our table. I told my husband about what had just happened and he took the pizza and walked back over to the pizza palace and confronted the man. The man told my husband that he is one of the owners and he can not and will not give a refund for the slice of pizza because we walked away with the pizza. The man also denied that he did any of what I seen him do. Like, come on. You are a grown man and you can't even take accountability for being disgusting behind the counter of the restaurant you own? Yuk! Yuk as a human being! Yuk as an owner! The other owners should part ways with you! I see other reviews on here about people getting sick after eating there. Shame. I wonder why. Smh. We asked you for a refund and you refused to refund $7.01. My husband said you have the time until we finished our lunch to come to your senses and do what's right or we would write a review in detail about exactly what happened. This is the worst restaurant I have ever had to interact with. My wife and I went to the mall for our kids to have a fun little family outing indoors, since it was raining out. I got hibachi that is always delicious but our kids wanted pizza instead. While I was in the bathroom with our daughter she went to get the pizza with our son and when I came back to eat I couldn't believe my ears. My son told me that the man in the white cleaned the counter tops with a dirty rag and shoved cheese in his mouth with the same gloves and then finally getting his pizza slice out with the same gloves on. My wife like other deflectors didn't want any confrontation so I went over to try and handle it. I went up to the young lady behind the counter and explained what happend. All she did was keep looking over at the man in white to get his attention. He then came over and said "what's going on over here" as he sighed, shook his head and looked at the ground. Then the young lady talked to him in the own language right in front of me so i couldnt here what was explained. He immediately denied the allegations and said in the time he has been there no one has ever said these types of things about him. He also refused to give me a refund because we already walked away with the food. I told him I was going to write a negative review on Google and he didn't even try to make it right. I hope the $7.01 was worth it. We arrived at 12:38 there was 1 slice of cheese ,1 slice pepperoni 3 slices of tomatoes halves pizza. I asked when they were going to have any other pizza ready the girl said they were done cooking pizza. I told her it's prime lunch time and you have stopped cooking that's crazy. I had my two grandsons with me for the day we drove all over town looking for a place to have pizza when we didn't find anywhere we came to the mall just for your pizza and have lunch together instead I bought the boys the pepperoni and a cheese slice that they had it had been sitting for a while neither of the boys ate it. What a awful experience. Oh when we were leaving she was making a pizza after telling me they would not be making anymore. We would have waited for fresh pizza also we would have had lunch together as planned....
