BBB is a great place for breakfast or brunch. There were a variety of choices to choose from and I think they satisfy anyone's breakfast desire. We arrived around 1030ish and there was a 45 min wait. The place was super busy, but there was not a lot of seating space, and it was a bit tight. I think that was part of the wait time. Our party consisted of 6 adults and an infant and there are about two spots where a party of our size could sit. The greeter, the cooks, and our waitress were kind and accommodating. I had a little spot near the entryway, in front of one of the waiting areas. The atmosphere was very warm and inviting with lots of buzz. There was a large selection to choose from so I had to narrow it down to what I wanted the most. The menu also accommodated those with various food allergies. And our waitress kept us alert of the estimated arrival time of our food. The food selections were great and I was so hungry until I forgot to take pictures. I will say the chicken sausage was very spicy so if you cannot do spicy you might want to ask. Some of the food temps ranged from warm to a bit cool. I asked a gentleman if he could send my waitress so I could get my sausage warmed up and he brought me a fresh order and it was hot! Thank you for your kindness and for taking care of me. I know they try to bring everyone's plates out at the same - I have a suggestion, a food warmer to keep the plate hot. Overall, I heard no complaints from the group so I will say well done BBB, until next time!

Second visit - as always consistency is the problem. Last time I had eggs Benedict and though the biscuits weee tough it was good. Today is was a short stack and two eggs over medium. Pancakes were good but the eggs were horrible. So to this point when will restaurants learn to train and give power to the wait/servers to be able to judge the food they are delivering and return it to the kitchen when it does not meet quality standards. One assumes that any and all restaurants ought to have a standard of food quality which is a wide range of variables but it ought to at least look good to start. I will say that the waitress Kianni I guess was her name was very nice very attentive which was great. But the eggs turned me off on the whole breakfast. I believe the eggs were cooked on or near a grill that they tried cleaning with a wet rag. Full of burnt off grill scraps and water. Which you could see it in the photo but it actually had dirty water running off the eggs. On top of that they were cooked on too hot of surface which made the outside crispy and the inside whites runny. Ewww! Yuk! And finally stop adding a 18% gratuity! I suggest all to call them out on this and not pay it! Pay what is right and not an extra 18% into management!

First time to Big Bad Breakfast and I was not disappointed. I love places that offer breakfast all day! I was meeting a friend there for lunch at 12 noon and the place was fairly busy yet we were seated immediately. It was a little slow to get our beverage, and then placing of our order, but food came out fast once order placed. From the time we sat down it was only 15 minutes when our food arrived. This place closes at 2:30p and I noticed by 1230 pm it was only half full. I imagine the breakfast hour and early lunch are their busiest, (from 7a to noon), after that not so much. In ordered form the "Lean Menu" options and got the avocado toast. I think the best I have ever had. It was 2 pieces of wheat toast topped with avocado, arugula, 2 eggs, and pico de gallo! The pico really was a great addition to the dish. It had a slight hint of spicy. This dish is normally served with 2 poached eggs, but I requested scrambled. Restaurant has a nice layout and long bar for those who want to be seated there. They serve a variety of about 5 breakfast cocktails such a Mimosa, Beakfast Margarita, Bloody mary etc. I'll be back! Outdoor seating available.

I heard this was the best place to eat breakfast, so thought we would try it with family. The locals suggested and bragged about how great the food was, so we went on Friday 1130am. We had a 20+ minute wait which was fine since we knew the food would be really good. When the waitress walked up to the table, we received no smile, good morning, nothing, that should’ve been the first sign or red flag something was wrong. I ordered a waffle, eggs, bacon, biscuit, home fries and my husband ordered the oyster scramble. First, the presentation was really great and professional looking. The food was decent, nothing that I could not fix at home. If I wanted to cook, I would’ve stayed home. The food didn’t have much flavor but was still good (decent). One of the main issues was the service and the temperature of the food, which is partly due to the terrible waitress we had. I had asked for a water and my husband an unsweet tea. We received our drinks but didn’t get anything else for 20-25 minutes. Once the food arrived, we couldn’t eat it because we had NO silverware. The waitress came back after 4-5 minutes later and I asked her for a refill for both of us, silverware, extra napkins (as we didn’t have any) & the extra butter (which I had previously asked for when I ordered). She rolled her eyes and said, “I hear you ma’am!” I’m not sure what sort of service this is called, but it isn’t something I should be forced to pay 18% tip. We received the silverware another 5 minutes later (total of 10 minutes). Once that was dropped off (only the silverware), I asked for the other items, she said, “Again, I heard you ma’am.” She proceeded to take a few orders instead of getting the other items I had asked about. A few minutes later she brought the butter, “to go cups” with our refills (I assume that meant that was all she was bringing), and no extra napkins. My food/waffle was so cold that the butter had no chance of melting whatsoever and it took another few minutes just to receive the syrup, as it was not brought out either. I won’t be back whatsoever. My husband said the same. It was so bad and the fact we were FORCED to pay the 18% tip, I wanted to write a review. I don’t even like adding this comment, but I will; I felt like we were treated differently because of our race, as people of color at least received a smile from her. I don’t know about the other treatment of them, but at least a smile. I know the reviews are mixed, and so you take your life into your own hands when you go to this restaurant. We were visitors to this place and the first time. It was so bad that the entire family in Memphis now knows the treatment and are going to share it to their friends and family. Do not go unless you want to go somewhere like Dick’s Last Resort with decent breakfast and cold food.

Nothing spectacular, actually, it was pretty awful. Save your money and keep the 18% tip...

For whatever reason, this location pops up on Google with two separate profiles for the same location. One which calls it the East Memphis location, and the other that just says Memphis. Needless to say, I had a less than ideal first experience at this establishment. Please believe the reviews! The service was absolutely terrible. Our waitress never introduced herself & was whispering the entire time. Like seriously, not just talking low, she was whispering. At the time we went only the bar area was open to guests, which could only accommodate maybe 15 people max. There weren’t any obnoxiously loud guests, she was just whispering. She took our orders after having to ask her politely to speak up a few times. In the meantime, there were cooks eating on the line over the food they were preparing, spills all over the floor near the bar area, and random coffee just laid out on the countertops on top of towels without anyone picking it up. When our waitress brought out the food, she looked at my sister & said “I forgot your screwdriver, why didn’t you remind me” well first off, if you had been more personable, it probably would have made it a little easier to bring it to your attention, however, she technically only came over three times- once when we ordered, second time to bring the drink, third time to bring the ticket. No check ups to see if our food was ok or anything. To make matters worse, my sister provided her with her card to cash us out. She handed the card & receipt to another guest. Thankfully, my sister was able to flag another server down & retrieve it. Definitely could have been an honest mistake, but given the lackadaisical service we’d received up to that point, we wanted to call this out to the shift manager. I kid you not, two employees had to get him before he even came over to hear the issue. When he did finally come over, he didn’t even present an opportunity for us to provide him with feedback before he started going in about them doing the best they can. Now I understand taking up for your employees, don’t get me wrong, but you never even let me share the issues I had before you started to try to wave off the problem. Let me be very clear, we’d already paid our ticket and we ate the food so we weren’t looking for anything in return, but we wanted to ensure management was aware there’s a gap here with regards to customer service. There was a nice gentleman working the line who provided great service to us although not our server. We tipped him on the way out. I live in Nashville & have visited their location plenty of times with no issues, however, this one has left a terrible taste in my mouth. Please think long & hard before you...

We have been here before and stopped coming a few months ago because service was a bit “off”. We came back today and service was TERRIBLE. When we arrived the front host was confused on seating, however, the place was not packed. Another host came over and sat us quickly. The front desk/ bar person was busy socializing with a male guest the whole time we were sitting at our table. This is important as we go through this review. Once we were seated we ordered and the food came out first and it was cold. My wife’s eggs were over done as well as the steak. My eggs were refrigerator cold the toast tased like it was toasted hours ago on someone else’s plate. We ate some because we were both hungry and drove all this way to eat. Halfway through our poverty meal we still did not have drinks despite the bar server having nothing to do. She was fiddling around pretending to work but she did absolutely NOTHING. She pretended to move napkins, paper, moving a cup from one side of the bar to the other. I watched her pretend to work while ignoring the request for drinks. Trash was on the ground behind the counter and she picked up one piece of the trash put it in a very full bin of dirty dishes. She then kicked it with her foot to hide it behind the counter. This is telling of how dirty she is in her own life. Next to the register was a tray of several tables’ dirty cups that she ignored several times. It was there before we arrived. I had to ask the waiter for our drinks three times and he said he is waiting on “her”. Pointing the same chick who doesn’t so her job. Yes, The girl who was doing nothing at the front bar. The manager was there and didn’t do ANYTHING about his staff member’s carelessness. I watched him too. He needs serious restaurant leadership training. This place lacks leadership cleanliness and management. The filter to a refrigerator was on the floor along with trash. The “fresh squeezed juice” is just juice poured from a manufacturer’s juice into a plastic container. The Irish coffee drink was made with premade coffee mix that was sitting in a plastic container. This place needs to be shut down, fire everyone including the manager, and start over. The young server woman with the locks was the only person with sense and was kind enough to apologize yet none of this was her fault! Probably look into her as a manager or something. Just anything but what is there now. We WILL NEVER...
