First, let's get the good out of the way. Went here to grab some to-go on Valentine's Day. Called it in and it was pretty quick. The service was good and the atmosphere seemed pretty decent. Now for the food. My wife had the Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and I had lasagna and a slice of pizza.
My wife thought her food was ok. Comparable to Olive Garden, but nothing to write home about. As for my food, the lasagna was sooo mushy! The pasta was overcooked and the best way I can describe the filling they used for it is if you scooped out the innards of 100 canned ravioli and pasted that in between the overcooked lasagna noodles then added mozzarella on top. Also the to-go container had about 1/4 inch of grease mixed in the the marinara sauce across the bottom. It was pretty bad. The slice of pizza was soggy and tasted burnt. Maybe too many toppings for the super thin and soft crust?
It was my first time visiting so maybe it was an off night. Though I do see another comment about the mushy...
Read moreI’ve lived in Memphis about 3 years now and this is the BEST pizza place we have found in Memphis! Coming from New York, this is the most like NY pizza, incredibly authentic and you can tell they use quality ingredients. I’m sensitive to some food, such as at garibaldis, their pizza gives me a stomach ache. Little Italy east is our go to place, especially after tonight’s experience!
For the first time we decided instead of dining in out picking up we would have them deliver. We ordered a half cheese and half pepperoni pie and when it arrived the cheese had slid down and pooled on the pepperoni side, and the pepperonis were mostly off the pizza with a pile of cheese. I called and they let me know they had a new driver and they would immediately send a fresh pie. Their customer service was fantastic for beginning to end and I didn’t expect them to be so generous. We will always...
Read moreHad lunch here recently with family. We ordered several items which included different pastas, some calamari and some pizza. The calamari were thicker and slightly fishy to me. Ive definitely had better ones at other places, but these weren't bad. The bolognese was very good and the sauces are all housemade. The gnocchi with pesto could have used more salt for my taste and was very oily for me. The pastas come with a salad and bread as well. The salads are good, normal salads and the bread is good especially for dipping in pasta sauce. The pizza was the best thing about our visit though. You can get them by the slice or in 12 inch or 18 inch which are super big. Highly...
