Just left Fleming’s Steakhouse. Food was great. Atmosphere was very cozy & the ambiance was very intimate. There celebrating birthday. We were enjoying ourselves eating great food & having great fellowship. It comes down to pay the check. Our waitress Jennifer H., returns to the table and says loudly, “This card is reading “card not accepted” and we have tried it three times.” I told her, “Run it again. The card is functional.” She tells me she will and will snap a picture of what the card reader is saying. I immediately phone my bank. Banker informs me of what I already know; the card is active and the funds are available. The merchant is declining the card. I’m like wait what? So, I keep the banker on the line. The waitress returns and says the same thing. I let her know I am on the phone with the bank, and ask her did she try another card reader. She says they have another card reader at the bar they do not normally use. Again, the card NEVER DECLINED, so why would you not try another card reader? She takes the card and Jennifer, the manager and the bartender are all at the bar with my card. I ask her if she needs the ticket to run the transaction. She initially says no but returns for the ticket. I get up and walk to the bar because this is taking way to long. As soon as I come to the bar, I see the bartender attempting to insert the card into the card reader and then takes it out to tap & the transaction immediately approves. I say, “Would you look at that, IT IS APPROVED!” I walk off to get my boxed food, because I am over it at this point. Jennifer returns with an apology that is very dismissive. I say, “Why wouldn’t you try another card reader initially? The machine never said declined. It could have easily just been malfunctioning.” She replies, “Well, we never use that card reader. I don’t know what was going on, but I do apologize and hope you have a good night.” We inform the manager of the situation and let him know we are not pleased. That discretion should have been used. That the other patrons in the restaurant should not have known what was going on. The manager says now, “What can I do to make it right. We did try another reader.” I say, “No sir. You all tried another reader after I suggested another reader be tried.” He asks for we want a complimentary meal or gift card. I am thinking Hell naw! You will NEVER RECEIVE MY PATRONAGE AGAIN! We tell him we do not want anything. We want to express the way the waitress communicated with us was not acceptable. He says, “You all aren’t just trying to get a free meal or something are you?” ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?! I walked off at this point, because there is only so much microaggression and gaslighting I can stand. Long story short, I WILL NOT EAT AT THIS ESTABLISHMENT AND WILL ADVISE ANYBODY ELSE WHO IS THINKING OF EATING AT THIS ESTABLISHMENT OF MY EXPERIENCE. If they decide to dine there; that’s on them. First impressions are EVERYTHING & this first impression has made a long lasting bitter, disgusting taste in my mouth that I do not care to experience a second time. Two thumbs & two Great Toes down for me!

First off, I want to preface this review by stating that the service was wonderful. There were no issues with the FOH (front of house). I attended a birthday dinner yesterday, & I did enjoy the signature blueberry lemon drop cocktail suggested by our server. It was very balanced and not overly sweet. However, the food was a disappointment, and I will probably feed the rest of my steak to my doggies (they had about 1/4th of it today mixed with their food). I don’t feel like jazzing up an expensive restaurant steak at this point…originally I thought maybe I’d cut it up and use it in a stir fry or in a veggie beef soup. But nope. I shouldn’t have to do that. Let me elaborate. I ordered the ribeye cooked medium topped with a lobster tail & caviar. The presentation was beautiful. So beautiful that I took a pic and posted it on my social media. But alas, the steak was burnt & cooked extra well done. Folks on social media began checking me for ordering a well done steak. LOL! Those who know me, know I would NEVA do that. Anyway, back to the experience: I told the FOH staff who came to check on us, and he asked me to cut in the center as if that was going to have any resemblance of pink. They took it back, and because it was so late, (we had a later reservation & they close at 10pm I believe?) I told them to just make mine to go, and I’d eat my wedge salad while others ate their entree. I like to eat my steak fresh, but I did not want to get my food so close to closing. Anyway, again the service was good. I also had ordered another entree to go for my partner, as this was a girls night out bday. I ordered a ribeye and Brussels sprouts with bacon for him. I got home and a noticed grease was everywhere. It leaked out the container and through the bag and all over my car seats. The steak was cooked medium the 2nd go around but was tough. I have had better steaks at lesser chains like Ol’Charleys, Outback, etc. The Brussels sprouts were burnt yet the bacon was soggy (not crisp). Nothing was taken off my bill/no complimentary dessert was offered for the inconvenience, and honestly I wouldn’t have minded had my order been a wonderful meal on the 2nd attempt. Lastly, the restroom stalls had no toilet paper in the stall that didn’t have urine all over the toilet. I have never had such a terrible experience at a fine dining steakhouse. I realize they may be short staffed like most restaurants but felt compelled to share my $210 + tip experience. Photo of well done steak attached (again presentation was lovely) & greasy bag that leaked all over my car. Even though I wiped the seat with a leather car seat wipe, my car still smells like grease and may need to be detailed. I think it may have also gotten on the floor mats when I picked up the bag?

Unfortunately, this was a miss for us. Some of it was very good, but a lot of it was not, and when you're paying that much money, it should all be excellent. For the most part, the service was good. The hostess was friendly and seated is right on time for our reservation. Our server was good at first. He was attentive for the most part until the end when he disappeared for a long while. The room is very dark, which makes for a nice ambiance, but it is very hard to read the menus. This is the 2nd high-end restaurant that did that. It must be a thing. When you have multitudes of people using the flashlight from their phones to read a menu, you may want to rethink the lighting situation. The music they pump in was unexpectedly loud. I'm not used to that in a nicer restaurant. My food was great. The pumpkin butter and champagne infused butter with the bread were delicious. I started with the pork belly, and it was amazing. I really enjoyed it. BF's wedge salad was beautifully presented, and it had generous amounts of toppings without being sloppy. It was the ideal starter. For my main, I had the Chilean Sea Bass. It was perfectly cooked, and the miso sauce was delicious, but there was too much of it. It drowned the fish. I would have preferred 1/2 the amount. The creamed spinach would have been good, but it was way under seasoned. Unfortunately, BF's aged ribeye steak was a big mistake. He asked for medium rare, and it came out rare, and it was not very good. Very tough and not seasoned well. By this time our waiter was not very attentive so we couldn't really remedy the issue, but again, with the reputation and price you pay, there shouldn't be such inexcusable mistakes as not cooking and seasoning the steak properly. This was a huge letdown. To top it off, we ended the evening with two small flies hovering over our table, which was annoying. So, what started as a fairly good evening turned out to be a disappointment. Besides our waiter, the rest of the wait staff was great. Very attententive and friendly. This should have been a better experience, but it wasn't. For the price we paid, we will probably not come back here.

Title: A Birthday to Remember: Exquisite Service at Fleming's Steak House!

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5 stars)

I had the privilege of celebrating my birthday at Fleming's Steak House, and I can confidently say that it was an unforgettable experience, all thanks to their exceptional servicer! From the moment we stepped foot in the restaurant until the time we left, we were treated like royalty.

Upon entering, we were warmly greeted by the hostess who wished me a happy birthday with a genuine smile. The ambiance was elegant yet inviting, setting the perfect tone for a celebratory evening. Our server, Joshua, immediately impressed us with their professionalism and attentiveness. Their knowledge of the menu and wine selections was remarkable, and they graciously offered their expert recommendations, taking into account our preferences.

The evening commenced with delectable cocktails crafted to perfection, setting the stage for the culinary journey that awaited us. As we sipped on our drinks, we were served a delightful amuse-bouche, courtesy of the chef, which added a touch of surprise to the experience.

The menu offered an array of mouthwatering dishes, and each course was expertly prepared and beautifully presented. From the luscious appetizers to the succulent steaks cooked to our exact preferences, each bite was an explosion of flavors that left us wanting more. The server ensured that each dish arrived promptly, allowing us to savor each course at a leisurely pace without feeling rushed.

But what truly stood out and made the night extra special was the thoughtful gesture by our server. As they presented the dessert menu, they discreetly learned that it was my birthday celebration. Little did I know that they had arranged for a surprise birthday dessert, complete with a lit candle and a heartfelt rendition of "Happy Birthday" sung by the server. It was a touching moment that brought joy to my heart and left an everlasting memory.

Throughout the evening, our glasses were consistently topped up, and our every need was promptly attended to, all without being intrusive. The level of service provided by Joshua and the entire staff was beyond exceptional and played a significant role in making my birthday dinner an absolute success.

I must also commend the management team at Fleming's Steak House for cultivating such a fantastic culture of service excellence. It's evident that they take pride in hiring and training staff who are passionate about what they do.

In conclusion, I can wholeheartedly recommend Fleming's Steak House for any special occasion, especially if you want to be treated like a VIP. From the impeccable service of [Server's Name] to the mouthwatering culinary delights, this dining experience was nothing short of extraordinary. Thank you, Fleming's, for making my birthday celebration truly unforgettable! We will be back soon to relish in your culinary delights and outstanding service.

If you're looking for a fine dining experience that exceeds expectations, do not hesitate to book a reservation at Fleming's Steak House. You won't be...
