The atmosphere of this place was no issue really, the music was fine and the seating was comfortably provided. The issue here was the service and food. I ordered the birria tacos and the image on the menu shows a small bowl of beans that comes with the tacos as a side. I was given a plate of three tacos with consumĂ© soup, but the small beans however looked more like oil and onions with very minimum amount of pinto beans actually in the bowl. Not to mention, they served three birria tacos and only provided 1 slice of lime, which if you have ever had birria tacos then you would know that 1 lime is not enough to cover three tacos. I asked for more slices of lime and the slices were so thin I could barely even squeeze them to get any lime juice out, so it became a messy ordeal of wasted limes. Therefore, the birria tacos was not as tasteful as I was expecting and the fact that I also had to request extra limes and spicy salsa to go with the tacos instead of it being naturally provided is only showing how outdated the menu is. However the MOST FRUSTRATING PART OF THIS SERVICE is when it came down to the side of beans. I requested to exchange the poor quality bowl of beans for a side of rice instead. The manager HIMSELF brought out my plate of rice along with my side of spicy salsa for the tacos and in doing so, he was trying to move TOO FAST and dropped my plate of rice all over me and the plate hit the floor and broke to pieces as well. I had RICE in my PURSE, in my WHITE SHOE, and rice along with the rice oil all OVER MY FRESHLY WHITE SOCKS!!! The manager did nothing but apologize repeatedly and quickly cleaned up the broken plate and some of the white rice on the floor before the waitress brought out a second plate of rice for me. Later before the bill came, I asked the waitress if the rice could be âon the houseâ since it was the managerâs fault I got rice spilled over me. She shook her head and said no with a smile đ. I am not complaining about paying $2.45 for a side of rice, but it is the THOUGHT THAT COUNTS that the manager could have had to simply not charge me for a side of rice that he spilled over me. This was my first time in this restaurant and I must say it was truly zero impression and I will not be returning ever. THEY DO ALSO HAVE SIGNS POSTED SAYING THEY CHARGE 15% GRATUITY BUT ON THE RECEIPT THEY ACTUALLY PULLED 18% WHICH IS FALSE...
Read morewhat a shame that this place has gone downhill. I realize that restaurants are taking a tip instead of allowing the consumer determine the tip, but that in no way is a reason to give horrible service. First, I requested a to go cup because I am allergic to the plastic cups. When she brought me a plastic cup, we asked for a to go cup again and she had to get the hostess to translate for me what I was asking. Then, they tried to take the cup of water back, I knew not to let them do that, as they would just pour then water inside from the plastic cup. Indeed she brought me an empty to togo cup for me to pour the water into. Fast forward to ordering our food was a nightmare in itself and the order was incorrect when brought out. Then she asks if we are ready for the check and I said sure, she brings it and stands table side until I give her payment. In the rush I didnât even notice that the gratuity was automatically applied. Usually I see this statement on the menu and on the table: When I asked the lady about it being added, she said it was on the door behind wall. I sat back down and asked the hostess to speak with the manager, surely the lady who told me the sign was on the door, could not be a manager. Sure enough! She was the manager and said I was being unruly and that she was willing to hear me out. The young lady proceeded to make âexcusesâ to why the horrible service was ok and good enough to have taken my money. One was that they are not as busy and they can not pay their bills if they donât steel the tip! Well do good at your job and get the money you deserve. You work in a service driven industry and thatâs your job. When we walked into the place, it was a ghost town and now I absolutely know why. I even pointed this out to her, she said itâs because the economy is bad. Well good bye margaritas! which has been one of our favorite mexican restaurants for...
Read moreMe and a friend had bought advertisement coupons from a local radio station which I will rate them next so I could go here for dinner I had planned it for months. The food was outstanding I had a watermelon margarita actually more than one absolutely out of this world. The food was very very good but when it came time to pay for my meal the horrors began. I had never been so embarrassed in my entire life as they would not accept my $50 promotional coupon and would only charge $10 to it I was outraged to say the least not having the money since I had planned this in advance and almost never eat out due to my financial circumstances. It's hard on someone on a fixed income but this was well planned in advance looking so forward to a great experience and it was anything but I am doing this the next day because I had to calm down a little bit. Still an emotional wreck I spent more time trying to tell them and explain to multiple people and their corporate office and then have to correct their errors in calculation as I was not going to not pay or have them have a calculation error on their part which would be taking money out of their pocket. Needless to say I will never go to this establishment again and as far as any promotions go for this and other establishments from FM 100 do not spend your hard-earned money on it as it is a scam. Just letting everyone know in advance of the scam plan on taking legal action on this matter as I am thoroughly humiliated even though I was in the right 100%. I will not let this stand or let them take advantage of any other elderly individuals. Just be worn in advance you will get scammed at the end of your meal. As I was not the only individual having problems pain...
