I have been to this restaurant more than once and the food seemed okay. Usually I spend around 28.00 dollars give or take. And even though I waited a bit to get my order that was fine with me as long I was getting it cooked fresh it was worth the wait. Hot and freshly cooked so I thought. This time I was on the run and had to do usual busy weekend errands like the most of us do. And sometimes fast food just does not hit the spot, and you want to treat yourself to a fresh cooked meal according to your liking. I decided to stop at Panda Garden for a good fresh meal so I thought. After receiving it I took it to my car my and decided to take a bite of my food and was shocked at the results. My food was cold, I mean refrigerated cold. I could not believe it. I paid 28.00 dollars for a refrigerated dinner, unbelievable. Already a little agitated just from being hungry. I immediately took it back into the restaurant while keeping my composure. Of course they checked it and apologized for this error. But I don't understand how you can place an order for fresh cooked food and get it back totally cold. They apologized but no explanation for it. Sometimes when you don't get what you are expecting you will literally loose your appetite or get an upset stomach while trying to consume it. I went there expecting a fresh cooked meal and ended up with a tv dinner that had to be returned. I have never had this happen to me before. There is no way to order or cook fresh food and it be cold. They were nice in saying they were sorry, but something fishy is going on even though fish was not one of the things I ordered. I will definitely say check your food carefully and make sure you are not eating yesterdays meal warm over. I was taught as I was growing up that you get what you pay for which is fair practice. But this time was not the case. I may not have gotten the meal I wanted that day but thanks to Panda Garden and a unexpected meal I was angry enough to forget about eating for a while and possibly loose a liittle bit weight from losing...

I am originally from Hawaii and am part Hawaiian and Asian. I have lived across the Pacific Rim. Had Panda Garden been in Hawaii, there would be a long line of hungry customers around the block waiting to eat here. As it is now, Panda Garden is a best kept secret in the middle of Memphis with few customers.
The food at this quiet, little Chinese restaurant in the middle of Memphis Tennessee is such a pleasant surprise. The vegetables are crisp and fresh. The rolls and dumplings are freshly made with the freshest ingredients. Unlike typical Chinese American restaurants, the food is not overly greasy, salty, burnt or smothered in bottled sauces. The cuisine tastes more healthy and homemade like my Chinese grandmother Bo Lin made back in Hawaii.
The prices here are very affordable while the decor is crisp, clean and professional. Clean, crisp linen napkins and quality service ware is used rather than typical cheap plastic plates found at most Chinese fast food restaurants and buffets.
Thus, if you are looking for healthy, tasty, fresh, authentic Chinese food, Panda Garden is definitely one of best places in the world--except for my grandmother Bo...
Read moreLet me start this review by saying I've had the best Chinese food money can buy. I've eaten at top rated restaurants all over the country, and Panda Garden is right up there with the best of them. My husband and I ordered the Shrimp fried rice-EXCELLENT! Huge, perfectly cooked shrimp, (a lot of them) fried egg (which we added) and flavorful WHITE rice (not yellow rice) combined to perfection. My husband loves the fried chicken wings, which weren't greasy, hot and cooked all the way through. We ordered the Mongolian Beef....WOW! Tender and full of flavor: Not salty, or a sup-par cut of meat. I ordered the crab ragoons which were hot and yummy. The only item I didn't care for was the Wonton soup, which was tasty, but a little watery. We've tried a couple other Chinese restaurants on Summer Ave and one on Jackson and literally ended up throwing the food away. Panda Garden will...
