Primas Bakery + Boutique — Restaurant in Memphis

I purchased 2 King cakes for Mardi Gras. One for a personal party, to be picked up on Saturday, day of party. One for my co-workers to be picked up Tuesday. Let me start by saying, I was recommended Primas by a friend. The description says a cream cheese cinnamon filling. There was ZERO filling. It appeared to have a drizzle, which may have been a cream cheese icing, but traditionally King Cakes have a filling. The cake itself tasted good, but was really dry. I thought maybe I was just being picky. So I still picked up the second cake for my co-workers. I did not tell them my initial issues, I just wanted them to enjoy. Unfortunately, the same issues were the consensus. Dry, and no filling really made for a poor experience. As far as aesthetic, it was beautiful! Very Pretty, and we really liked the beads and glitter. But I was so disappointed. I might try them for another item, but I will not be purchasing...

Primas Bakery is everything you want in a bakery. Bright colors, beautiful frosting work, and delicious sweets! They have done two custom jobs for me so far, and both times, they executed my requests flawlessly. They are always responsive, kind, and professional, and I love working with them on my orders. Most recently, I ordered a pistachio cake for my birthday. No one in Memphis makes a pistachio cake, nor were they willing to try. Primas accepted the challenge happily and produced the most beautiful and delicious cake I have ever had. My family was so impressed by the quality of the cake (I would order this for a wedding cake - it was THAT beautiful and decadent), but also the amazing frosting work. Everything this bakery produces is beautiful and the best quality. I am always impressed and happy with my orders, and I am already looking at their Valentine's Day menu to place...

I’ve ordered from here twice now, both times for my birthday party/celebrations and we’ve been beyond impressed! Last year my husband asked me where I wanted my cake from and I sent him pictures ! He ordered and even got a little extra surprise ! The dessert boards are super fun and cute ! The cookie cakes are phenomenal! And the service is great too!
