I am writing to express my disappointment with the customer service and management during a recent visit to the Topgolf location at 3450 Germantown Parkway. What should have been a celebration of my child’s upcoming birthday (12/01/2024) was marred by unprofessional behavior, poor communication, and a lack of resolution for an issue that stemmed from your establishment’s error. We arrived early for our 4:30 PM bay reservation and decided to sit at the upstairs bar. My husband and I ordered cocktails while we considered whether to order food for the kids immediately or wait. The bartender, a light-complexioned woman with blonde locs, strongly encouraged us to order food. I pointed out a promotional menu offering a flatbread, pretzel nuggets, and two soft drinks for $25, which she acknowledged and rang up. After receiving our drinks, the pretzel nuggets were not served. When our bay was ready, I asked for them to be delivered there. However, the bartender denied that the pretzel nuggets were part of our order, even though I had explicitly pointed to the promotion. She stated she was unaware of the promotion and refused to assist further. I escalated the issue to the manager on duty, Deshaun. He informed me that the promotion had expired on 10/31/2024 and should have been removed from the menus. While he admitted this was an error on Topgolf’s part, he stated there was no way to honor the promotion or compensate for their. That promotion was in ALOT of menus and almost a month later they’ve allowed that error to go on but somehow made that my fault. To be clear, I didn’t read the bottom part of the promo. At this point, it was no longer about the money, it was about the overall nasty attitudes of staff members The situation escalated further when I overheard the bartender making unprofessional and disparaging remarks about me to other customers, calling me ā€œdumbā€ and claiming I was ā€œrude.ā€ When I calmly addressed her, she became confrontational, yelling at me to leave the bar area. Her unprofessional behavior was witnessed by other staff members, who also appeared concerned. Despite this, Deshaun interrupted me repeatedly, refused to hear my concerns, and prioritized defending the bartender instead of resolving the situation. I sought assistance from Bri at the customer service desk, who was the only staff member to handle the situation professionally. She acknowledged that the promotional menu error was Topgolf’s responsibility and agreed that the food should have been comped as a gesture of goodwill. Bri’s professionalism stood out, but by this point, the damage was done. Overall HORRIBLE customer service. The bartender and the manager need more training on customer service. If I at any point I behaved poorly, I wouldn’t even waste my time reviewing this location, because I would be at fault or added to the situation in a negative way. Maybe in another state, but never there. They completely ruined my son’s birthday, all over a simple error on their part.

Still open and perfect temperature after a stormy Sunday morning, Topgolf Memphis is always a fun time.

I’ve been several top golfs in different cities prior to coming to the one in Memphis. I love Top Golf and was excited about going but was skeptical about going in Memphis for the obvious reasons. I was greeted at the desk by the clerk telling me my bay number, I repeated it back to her she stated yes and then an attitude when I requested the second floor. So when the waiter couldn’t find my name she went to get a manager. So I just went back up there. So then the same lady says oh what’s your name oh your bay is not ready yet we will text you. So I go back to where my party was and another young approaches me to tell me I went to the wrong bay. No ma’am this is the bay she told me to go. She said ok well you are supposed to be at another bay. The waiter that greeted me at the wrong bay was one of the nicest people I encountered. So 5 of 6 people in my party already have memberships. 2 of them would not come up. Once I put everyone in two people were still not on the game the waiter came over and it did the same thing to her.. so finally she had to put in the wrong email addresses to get it to work. So they decided to give us 15 minutes for inconvenience. Then I explained I should only have one membership and that I could show proof of the others if I needed. So she said we are going to take them all off. We ordered a drink there things floating in it. I should have took a picture. We asked for plates with our appetizers and they had ketchup on them and crumbs. Then my son could not get another ball no matter what he did. The waiter came and got a manager the manager came and went got maintenance so they finally realized after 30 mins that the machine was out of balls so the manager added more time. I told him don’t worry about it just bring our check. The waiter came back and stated he didn’t tell her so she would get it together. So when I got the check I realized there was a random charge so I asked about it and the other manager stated when we added the 15 mins. So how does that pertain to me. So she took it and stated these are the things we have already taken off as if I was the one that inconvenienced her. So she tells us she can check us out now as to rush. My husband gave her cash and she stated she couldn’t do it the waitress would have to cash us out. So then she comes back with two more receipts for us to sign. So I stated to my husband well I guess they do things differently. So under her breath she says not really, the manager now. Both of the waitress were really nice. Non tip staff were terrible.

I ordered a S’more cookie for something sweet and they left off the ice cream, chocolate, and graham crackers so I let my server know. She looked at the menu and takes the cookie back to the kitchen. At the same time my friend who’s with me goes to the bathroom and as he passes he hears a manager say ā€œIf she wanted ice cream she could’ve just said that.ā€ He comes back and notifies me so I ask my server for the manager for which she brings out the SAME one that said something, and she knew he heard because she wasn’t even surprised when I asked for the manager. She comes over and I tell her the situation at which my other 2 friends are still playing the game and the one who heard comes to talk to her with me. She says she has no recollection of saying that and that he must’ve been lying or heard someone else but he insist it was her. I say okay and tell her I no longer want the cookie. She says okay and takes it away. My friends and I get back to playing the game having a good time since we came at 10 pm and bought 2 hours of game play so we could be there for my birthday at midnight. Another manager comes over with security and says we have to leave. We’re asking what’s going on and trying to reason and tell our side and he completely shuts us down. Goes to tell us he’s made a decision, there was an altercation, and she felt uncomfortable. We ask him to politely check the cameras and the only reason she would feel uncomfortable was if she actually said what he said she did. He says he doesn’t care, ask us to pay our tab and leave, 20 MINUTES BEFORE MY BIRTHDAY. He’s being extremely rude even though we kept our composure. The security guard, nice guy, comes tells us he’s sorry but since he made a decision we have to leave. My birthday is completely ruined at this point and what makes it worse is the manager (Andy) escorts us out by following us and under his breath we hear him say the n word, so I turn around, but keep walking and we decide to spend the next 20 minutes in the parking lot to not miss my birthday count down. Then Andy comes outside and watches us as we’re standing there. We later catch him in the window still staring. We felt very racially profiled and accused of lying and got thrown out for something we did not even do. At the end we even asked him again to check out the camera. He goes sure, and rolls his eyes. This is unacceptable and I will be sharing my experience online. His name was Andy Geise. No wonder this place has 3 stars already. The manager and servers names were Taylor and Brianna. He wouldn’t give me their last names. I will not...
