On December 18th we had a celebration for my Daughter 18th birthday at Juicy Crab. We had about 13 guest total so we were split up 8 at a table and 5 at a booth. Upon seeing our seat I asked the waiter was there a table we all could sit at? She nonchalantly replied that we could use the other booth behind us for more room. The attitude from waiter had already started. My friend ordered water and asked for a straw and the waiter rolled her eyes as she handed her the straw. We all made note and just ignored. At our table we were giving all drinks in paper cups looking around in the restaurant the other guest had regular cups. Again we all just rolled with the punches. Seemed everything we needed the waiter had an attitude about it. I can hear my Daughter table complaining about there waiter while they ate. So in the moments I spilled my water another nice waitress came back and took care of that for us. We all was thankful and appreciated this young lady service. Then our original waiter come back with that attitude. So we ordered food. My friend ordered onion rings and was dissapointed in the quality. They were bland and greasy. She let the waiter know and again she had an attitude. My sister order some crab legs and asked for butter on the side. Her order was messed up. Took her another 40.minutes to get her food. The manager crew came over we were all trying to keep the peace... but the management couldn't get it right either. No one w as s satisfied with service they receive and the quality of the food. My sister finally received her food and it was overcooked. She alerted them... and they charged her for it even though she couldnt eat it due to quality. Management gave her an hard time about that she had to argue the point to receive any action. When it came to the check. Well of course they charged us a gratuity that we felt like the restaurant nor the waiter deserved. By the way the waiter came up missing for a while... So I intervened with the manager and let her know the qratutity amount was unacceptable for the service we had in the restaurant. She gave us this story about how difficult it would be to fix the tickets.. she also told me that she would come back and talk with me. Well I waited... so in the meanwhile the waitress with the bad attitude came back.... well she collected payment and didnt bring any of the kids back all their change. Example: ticket $7.55 she brought back 7.00... mind you she has already received the gratuity tip that she didnt deserve. I mention to the waiter hey they are missing their change... 30 mins have gone by ... the manager never came back to talk to me... well the waiter finally bring back their change in all pennies with a smirk on her face.... so now you're picking on kids... I then go find the manager... well get to the counter..... she is holding a conversation with another guest and it seemed as a friendly one that had went on too long. I asked the cashier next to tge manager if they had silver coins was it a reason they were giving a handful of pennies... she replied we have change.. and something about the waiters dont carry change... so my response.... why couldnt she come to you all and get the appropriate change instead of handing them a handful of pennies with a smirk on her face... meanwhile the manager/ corporate owner still having a conversation with this person while I stood their still waiting on her to come talk to me from 45 mins ago. I finally got just fed up and just left because not a chance I would have held a conversation with this guy over 45 min who sound like he was trying get into a business venture with her while I have a dissatisfied customer standing their waiting for over 45minutes to talk to you as the corporate owner. This showed me how much she valued me as a guest in her restaurant that she couldnt find the words to say to this customer.... hey, I have your contact info but I really need to handle this situation with this customer. Instead she allowed me to wait on her while listening to all my kids and guest...
Read moreInitially I wasn’t too impressed, but after I set the scene, you can decide for yourself if this is where you wanna eat. They informed us that we came at shift change and would have to just stand around until the next shift got in. Not much direct as to where to stand. This place is also no fuss. It’s also probably somewhere you wanna come if your looking to have a good time. People were partying and having a good time. Not sure if it’s every day of the week or just the Wednesday that I was there, but there was a DJ and loud music. Initially I was put off but then I was like, hey, let’s live it up. All the staff was basically dancing, singing and having a great time. My server was great, she checked on my frequently and always made sure I had a full drink, and even gave me one to go. I got the lobster, crab and shrimp and it came to about 50$, pretty standard for seafood. They give you a bucket with a bib, gloves, a wipe, fork, and styrofoam plate. I just ate out of the metal bowl, and the food does come out in a bag. The sweet tea was ok, not the best, not the worst. Overall people were having a good time . The downfall to this place is its cleanliness, or lack there of. The whole place looks like it needs a good wipe down, especially the bathroom. Just basically greasy fingerprints on everything. And the bathroom was in pretty bad shape. Hopefully a manager reads this and puts people to work cleaning up. The overall feel of this place is more like a bar than a restaurant. If you like that great, but that’s just...
Read moreSo the experience I had is a long one, but I will say service was the worst I have ever had we got there about 5 and after everything we left close to 9. Mangment was sorry but still not sorry enough. First we were a party of 15 and I understand that on a Saturday it can be a long wait, how ever close to two hours to wait for a table is too long. Then we waited 20 min to order our drinks. Then about another 20 to order. Then the wait for our food was about 30 min, however only about 1/2 got food. The server said it was do to them being fried but some of the other 1/2 was fried. The rest of us waited another 30 min or so. The waiter was absent and rude. Someone else had a complaint about the ticket he calls security over. Which should be a hint about the atmosphere. HOOD!!!! I then called to complain the next Monday this is why I will NEVER be back! She was apologetic but not enough most places would have offered a gift card to make sure we came back and had a better experience. Her not at all. Not even a little. I live in Nashville i would not have taken it due to take its just the fact she did not offer. Servers are one thing but bad management is another. By the way my server was Jeremmie and the...
