Well Folks, I usually try to find the best in what I share, but this one, I have to say is probably not going to make friends. Personal experience here.... My son was an employee also.
The sandwiches are really not that great. The bread is hard and I thought the toppings could be a lot better - they just did not seem as fresh. As far as freaky fast...it's no different than any other sub shop. If you have delivery, they only go within a short radius of the store to make it happen. Even then, there isn't enough training for the drivers to know how to do this quickly. Remember, tight now, there is construction on the bridge, and it will take longer until that is cleared up.
As far as an employment issue, I'd have to say that there is - by far - more drama here than a 3 legged cat caught in a toilet. The schedules change from moment to moment, the training is very poor, the wages are poor and the management is not managing. There is such a lack of care and consideration for people as employees, that it's not worth it. My son enlisted into the Marine's and he got called up early to go to boot camp. The management did not care in the least and in the end, my son told them that this decision was more important than anything JJ could produce.
There was a time when my son had off, and they called him in. He had plans so he said no. After we shared pics of his plans on facebook, he was contacted by an employee on facebook that was admonishing him for his choice to carry through with his plans, rather than come into work.
Anther ridiculous thing is that when he showed up to work, he would work a couple hours, then they would send him home for 4 hrs and then ask him to return because they weren't busy. This ultimately cost him almost 1 1/2 hrs in extra driving because of where we lived. This didn't make any money for him at all. Again - just too much drama.
They do not have direct deposit and there is a 2 week hold back. Once he finally started receiving his checks, he was long gone to boot camp. They refused to mail the checks to him and so I had to go to pick them up. I asked when they intended on sending them and they just shrugged shoulders.
So, I wish it was better, but honestly, it isn't. I have more situations to share, but this is probably enough for now. I think you all get the idea of the issues here and can decide for yourself on...
Read moreI usually order from Jimmy John’s quite often and usually it’s delivery which I have never had an issue with! The issue that I do have is the couple of times that I have ordered at the location and have had my order messed up every single time. Today specifically I had ordered my normal slim turkey sandwich with cheese and bacon added and when I got home to eat it, it was a tuna sandwich. The past two times were minor mistakes of putting greens and mayo on my sandwich which is easy to just take off but I decided to call them for this instance as this was completely not even close to what I had ordered. I live 7 minutes away and my options were to either have my ordered voided or come to the store for them to make a new one, I was hungry so I decided to make another 7 minute trip back to Jimmy John’s just for me to walk in to get my new sandwich and have their employees laughing at the fact that they had messed up my order and I was annoyed with having to drive back and ending up being late for a meeting because of this inconvenience. Not only did they give me the wrong order of my sub again when I was in the store, it took a nice lady that worked there to let them know they messed up my order again before I left to actually receive the order I had paid for. Read moreBeen having issues for a few months now on late delivery times, but today… 50 minutes past my order… I’m literally less than a mile away.. and it said it was out for delivery 10 min ago… so I called to inquire about it at 15 min past “out for delivery” their solution was for me to either continue waiting or void my order and not deliver. So I said to void it. They delivered it 5 min later. 20 minutes after they delivered, the driver came back and picked up the delivery…. We order from this location constantly at my work- at least 3 times a week. Very disappointing and unprofessional. Will no longer order from Jimmy John’s menomonie unfortunately…. This is unacceptable. To be so far behind that you can’t deliver within an hour- but claim “freaky fast” and then come back and pick up your order….. they could’ve called and said “look it’s already been delivered sorry we can’t issue a refund at this point” no- instead they had the time to come back and pick it up….
