Not the best experience. We went there for breakfast last weekend for my son's birthday. IHOP was under staffed and we did not want to wait nearly an hour with four young kids. Anyway, that visit was delightful. Seated quickly even though they seemed busy, food prompt and hot, great service all around. We decided to go back the following Friday for my youngest daughters birthday (yes, she and my son are about a week apart, but I digress) and it was a totally different experience. Although our waitress was very prompt and great, we waited an hour for our orders, even though it wasn't busy at all. And when the food did arrive a couple dishes were barely warm, my eggs were cold even, and my wife's skillet was lukewarm at best, the pancakes had a hard layer on top, and the gravy had started to coagulate, totally inedible. It's obvious the food was cooked at different intervals and had sat for a bit. Just not good at all. The waitress was great and did remove my meal, but at that point I didn't feel like waiting another hour for another questionable dish. I can only assume the chef was either different or something. But I don't know of any other reason the two experiences were...
Read moreI took my dad out for breakfast to the Bob Evans on Reynolds Road/306. The restaurant was not busy at the time we went in. It was very clean and welcoming.
Our waitress was PHENOMENAL but I unfortunately don't remember her name. Her personality is what we need to see at any restaurant when we're being served. She makes you smile and laugh while you're enjoying your food. I had no problems with my breakfast. I got the blueberry pancakes. They were amazing! The reason I gave the food 3 stars it's because my dad was extremely disappointed in his food. He got the french toast with fried chicken and was very excited to try it. Unfortunately, the chicken was very hard and rubbery, so he had a hard time eating it. I was having a hard time even cutting it for him. I let our amazing server know but I wish I would have asked for another meal to be cooked for him because he went home very disappointed and hungry. He did not feel good the next day. I'm not sure if it's because the food. Hopefully he doesn't experience any problems with the food in the future because he said he was looking forward to coming back again if he can get something served that...
Read moreI have never lived anywhere near a Bob Evens, so I have only eaten the food products that are in the freezer or refrigerator section of my grocery store. I am currently on a vacation and after driving 8 hours today, I was really excited to see a Bob Evens, next to the hotel. I walked over to have some dinner. It wasn’t very busy and I was seated right away and given a menu. I picked out what I was going to order and was even deciding what to order in the morning, for breakfast. And, that’s where the good times ended. After sitting for over 20 minutes, I walked up to the counter, where four people were working. The young man working the counter, swiped his badge in the register, I am assuming to take my payment, and asked if everything was good. I then calmly and nicely that I had been sitting at my table for over 20 minutes and I was now leaving. I walked back to the hotel, got in my car and found a real nice BBQ place for my dinner. But, I will not be coming over to your place in the morning...
