Today, 24 Feb 2020, I went here because a colleague of mine wanted to go to lunch here. Started off by driving from Geneva (40 minute drive) so I was like, "woah, this place better be good." When I pulled into the parking lot, I was greeted with a veterans parking space. ALREADY, I was certain this place was going to be good. I go in there, nervous as heck because my high anxiety, and I'm greeted by two people, yelling across the restaurant. Then one asks if I've been here before and I tell her no. She walks me through the menu, (a huge help btw) and she recommends some stuff to me. When I go up to order, I get the same treatment, she explains to me and I go with some recommendations. As I'm waiting for my food, one of the managers is explaining everything to me. How long the meat is cooked, where everything is, the house-made sauces, etc. Then my food comes up, and he thanks me for serving and they gave me a complimentary cheesecake. This place had me in TEARS at the end. (Good reasons) It's seldom you find somewhere so welcoming and embracing of military personnel and veterans. I've tried so hard to forget about my past and this place is like "you know, we get you. Everything you've done, we understand." Just as I sat down, a man working there by the name of Charles spoke to me, "security forces, right?" I didn't know this man yet here we are talking like we've known each other for years, based solely on the fact that my boots were a certain color. He was fantastic. The reason I'm making this review. This review isn't only on the atmosphere, but the food was amazing too. I got the Baby Back ribs, and the Mac n Cheese was AWESOME! If you do go here, try the smoky mountain (pretty sure that's what its called) bbq sauce. It was to die for. Bottom line is, I don't make many reviews or recommendations to people however I will 1000% say that this is my favorite and now my top recommended place to anyone. Between the food, atmosphere, employees, it just seems like a company starting out doing everything a million percent right. So thank you guys 💝

It's really nothing to write home about. I really didn't like it small portion and the atmosphere was dry, dall pure sense of humor. And I didn't care for food.

I have been wanting to try Mission BBQ, my wife doesn't care for spicey food so the only Mission BBQ I have tried before was the Oak smoked brisket with two sides and cornbread. I literally couldn't eat all of that take out meal at one sitting! Previously the baked Cheesy potatoes were good and the seasonal side of bread pudding was excellent! The cornbread was okay. Couldn't find any butter to put on my cornbread in the carryout box. I didn't have a complete set of utensils, but I found 3 spoons! Overall, my first experience was a satisfying, belly filling, delicious meal. Today, I actually got to visit the restaurant. I must say as a former Ohio EMT-Paramedic I felt honored amongst the various displays in the restaurant of Civilian First Responders and our 🇺🇸 Armed Forces. This counter service style restaurant is clean and well kept. As a Disabled/Retired customer I found the cost a little pricey. 🤑 Two years from Its initial opening I tried the SaImon, with a side of Cole Slaw finding the Salmon well prepared and the taste of the Cole slaw somewhat mediocre. I sampled both the glass bottled Vanilla frosted soda and the Fountain Soda in a First Responder Cup. Both tasted great... the bottled soda had a robust taste and the Fountain drink tasted like the mix was right! Like Most BBQ restaurants in Mentor, on a Retired persons budget, this place is pricey! But the offering of 6 different flavors of Sauces to try on whichever meat you choose is Unique! The Men's 🚻 restroom was clean and decorated in Mission BBQ's own style. All I can say is If the Yum is what you're looking for...mission's accomplished! 👍

On June 25th my daughter Tracy and Cassandra took me to the mission BBQ on Reynolds road. It was our first time there. My daughter was taking me out to celebrate my 71st birthday party birthday from the time we walked into the door to the time we left we left. We had a beautiful, amazing time. The atmosphere in that place was phenomenal. We explained to her we've never been there. She took the time to tell us how to go about. We didn't know if we sit down order or if we go through law& order and she explained everything and a professional suite-mannered way with very politeness. We got to the restroom the cashier explain how we could order. She even asked if we wanted a sample before we order. She was professional, smiling, pleasant, pleasant out of Toni. She told us how to go about getting our food. My daughter explain to her she was celebrating my 71st birthday and from there it just went amazing. We got the food in no time time we sit down. Hey if there's any problems just let us know. It was just outstanding. I got the banana pudding. It's my birthday thing. It was out of this world as they say it was good enough to slap your mama but the manager she came over Christina. She talked to us and was asking a little question but how it got started. She told us how everything went about and how you go about and it was just amazing and then she and serenaded me for my birthday. It was beautiful. I'm telling you every employee that was in that place that night was phenomenal, small and polite. Quick service. The food was extraordinary. Excellent nothing. Nothing was out of other than ordinary we had Beautiful beautiful raise about the food your staff. It was pleasant. I will never forget how awesome Amber, Elena, Christina and Madeline treated me with beautiful, beautiful greetings and gracious. Love to whoever read this. Please go visit it. My son is retired military and I can't wait to go tell to see him in New York to tell him all about the spirits that this company has. We will be back and I thank God that we chose that place that very nice and again thanks each and every one of y'all Amber Lane and Christina Maddie from making my birthday celebration amazing and outstanding...

I absolutely love this place! I first tried Mission BBQ when I was in Glen Bernie, MD for a work trip. While still in MD I tried the Caton location before returning home to Ohio. I was excited to find out there was a location in Parma so as soon as I returned home I went to continue enjoying the jewel I discovered while out of town. I was then elated to know that there was a store opening in Mentor which is even closer. Yay! Consistency is what I have come to learn and expect from Mission BBQ. The food is so delicious and packed with flavor. I have tried everything on the menu - even the off menu items and have never been disappointed. The other thing that separates Mission BBQ from their competitors is the employees. Again at each of the four locations I've visited I have found absolute consistency. I love how the employees address me as Ms. Kesha. I really appreciate the respect of the salutation. The staff is super friendly and can describe the food extremely well. Also, they will provide samples to allow you to try the food before you buy it - this speaks volumes about how confident they are with their food and it also shows customer appreciation. I have never had BBQ done so well. The meat is fall off the bone tender and seasoned to perfection. The ribs at Mission BBQ can stand up to any bbq. The salmon is extremely moist and delicious. I love all the sides, cornbread, and brownies too. The sweet tea and lemonade are definitely worth writing home to Mama about. To top all of that, the sauces they offer are to die for. My all time favorite is smoky mountain. I cannot say enough about the food and experience. If you have the opportunity to try out this restaurant, you definitely will not be...
