SIP MKE — Restaurant in Mequon

I had a rare night out with my mom and we were very excited to finally check this place out and have a glass of wine together. We arrived around 6:45pm or 7pm. The door was open and we walked in. Apparently there was a private party going on and the person behind the bar was extremely rude and told us that and also said the door had been closed, which it was not. They then walked us out and closed the door behind us. No apology, no kindness... very curt and rude. I'm not one to write reviews but how the message was delivered to us was the opposite of friendly and it was extremely disappointing after we traveled 15 minutes specifically to go there together on one of the few nights I have off. I don't think I'll ever go back. We ended up at Ruby Tap and the people there were very pleasant and service...

I highly recommend SIP MKE for your next private party or date night. I recently hosted an anniversary party there, and it turned out perfect. The owner, Jackie, and bartender, Laura, were friendly, personable, and helpful. We met with Jackie ahead of time to discuss the drink list, and does she ever know her wines! She also has a nice selection of craft beers and mixers for guests that prefer other libations. Many of the guests commented on how cute the venue is and that they will be coming back on a night where there is live music....

We recently held a private event at SIP MKE. It was the perfect venue and offered our guests a chance to mingle both inside and outside. The owner was wonderful and helped us customize a drink menu ahead of time for our event. On the day of our party, the bartender and owner were so friendly, helpful, and accommodating to our group.
