Culver’s — Restaurant in Mequon

I generally don’t post, but I am so angry that I feel I need to post this incident.

The Mequon Culver’s has been our go to for years and recently it’s gotten quite disappointing. Today, I was late coming home from work and my son had a band concert so I stopped to quickly get him some chicken tenders before we had to rush off to the concert. I went through the drive-thru and ordered 4 piece chicken tenders. Once the order was placed, I waited over 5 minutes and watched several cars behind me receive their order. I tried to get someone’s attention but they slipped right in so I parked the car and went inside to see 5 people standing on the back counter staring into space. One person was helping another gentleman so I had to wait until he was done before I was acknowledged. I asked if my order was lost and without a word, he went to the order screen and screamed into the kitchen “4 piece chicken tenders on the fly”. He stood with his back to me waiting for my order while the other 5 remainder still standing. The guy who took the order didn’t even have the courtesy to say anything to me, which was fine. Once the order was ready he passed along the chicken and said “sorry about that”. I took the bag without responding because I angry and on a time crunch and so I snatched the order and left. Atmosphere does not count because it was a drive-through experience but on other occasions we have been inside this restaurant and it's always been great just like our Culver's in Sheboygan have always been great to us So this Culver's where we stopped we've stopped at it many times between Milwaukee children's hospital and coming home and now we stop there because we were going to Madison for my daughter's eye surgery always great customer service never nastiness always smiling and friendly staffs at every Culver's we've gone to when McDonald's is $60 for four people or more than $60 and Culver's is around the same price choose Culver's The food is much better you actually get a burger on your bun and no I'm not joking about this McDonald's has twice forgotten to put the burgers on our buns from a McDonald's that's less than a mile from my home and I will review that store as well because we just had an incident there where we pulled up to the drive-through lights were all on at the place and tried to place an order and got told No we're closing and then as we pulled out of the drive-thru they turned out the lights as three more cars came in every time you go to McDonald's you get the wrong order cold food and frustration It's not worth it but Culver's you can rely on They are consistent they are friendly and if you have a problem they...

Seriously. I ordered a butter burger with Ketchup, mustard, pickles, and onions. That was my request. (my husband and I did comment that our cost seemed high when they gave us the total) I received a DOUBLE CHEESEburger. The other toppings were correct. I had to go to the door to complain. They did remake it. I still received a double, but we DID pay for that I guess. The gentleman told me I needed to tell them that I wanted a hamburger and not a cheeseburger or that is how they come. Never had been how a butter burger came before. Also not what you see when you look up the menu online. I said that I told them exactly how I wanted it when I listed the toppings. But somehow it was my mistake, not theirs. Oh well. Just irritated as I had to stand outside the door and wait for them to fix my order while my husband ate his food alone in the car.
