This came up one short of 5 stars for one reason, and one reason only. We got there about 25 minutes early of our party and sat at the bar. There was a couple to each side of us with an empty bar chair in between each couple that the bar tender serviced. We appeared to be ignored. Then he proceeded to find his favorite channel on one of televisions. At which time my wife announced "excuse me," all to no avail. Heck even waitresses came up to the bar to order drinks for their tables, pointed to us and appeared to tell him we were there, being ignored. After taking care of the waitresses he resumed his station hunting, again my wife said excuse me. Again to no avail. When he finally turned around, he put on a fake look of surprise, and even stated something to the effect where did you two come from? My wife asked him what it took to get noticed/served. He then asked us what we wanted? We responded with a drink menu. Which was provided, and we ordered a bottle of Dr. Loosen, Riesling (the only riesling offered on the menu). While he let on as if we sneaked in, we were sitting between two other couples he talked with and served. I don't know what kind of "BLINDERS" he was using not to see us, but we were greeted by the host, and we watched as waitresses pointed at us and commented, plus my wife's "excuse me," twice. That's right, when our other parties arrived and we were seated, he got NO TIP. LET THAT BE A LESSON.
Absolutely no complaints on the food, and the serving sizes were excellent! We left neither hungry, nor stuffed.
Again the only thing the held up the 5 star rating was the bar tender who felt the TV was more important than the customer paying $33 for a $19 bottle of wine. Maybe, just maybe he can find his tip somewhere in the...
Read moreHorrible😡. I was referred by someone to go there. It was my first and last time. I took myself out for dinner on Sunday August 8th, 2021 to celebrate after overexceeding my financial goal. I ordered the parmesan chicken meal with a cup of water and a glass of wine. My total came up to $39.xx and I gave the waiter my card to pay for my meal. Upon returning I noticed as I went to sign the receipt it was $139.xx. I was flabbergasted, the waiter informed me that he would correct it so he took my card again. Upon returning the second time I noticed to add insult to injury he charged me for my meal in addition to charging me the $139.xx. So here I was bewildered that I have been charged twice, once for my meal and the other for meal that wasn't even mine. I requested to speak to the manager, his name was Max. Max assured me that the $139 would fall off in three business days. I was appalled, that there wasn't anything that could be done sooner to restore my money. So upon leaving I still felt dissatisfied with the overall service & experience I had received. No restitution was even made towards accommodating me for this horrible mistake. So I decided to speak with him again and I requested to receive a discount on my bill for the inconvenience and for him to write on the receipt that I was assured my $139.xx back on my card. So he said he will take $20 off my bill. Today is Tuesday August the 10th I still have yet to receive the $20 credit. I shall never go there again. It's one thing to have an unpleasant 1st time experience. But another for the restaurant not to take ownership and even accommodate...
Read moreI gave this restaurant another chance after previous bad experiences and it’s another one for the final straw! I sat at the bar after my friend cancelled for a event at SIP then a old friend who just finished getting her hair done arrived around 8:00 sitting next to me. Though I was finished with my food I decided to order another wine and catch up while she ordered her pasta. Around 8:35 the bartender decided to just place both of our checks down in front of us and then she disappeared for sometime. My friend wasn’t finished yet and she wanted another glass of wine so I asked someone around 8:55 and he said we’re closed. So you close at 9:00 I said that’s not good service and nobody gave us last call before placing the checks down, you’re technically still supposed to be serving. I’d been there longer and I was done but my friend wasn’t. Then some arrogant uptight man came to the bar with attitude… I called them on the rudeness and said we’d expect more from a fine dining establishment! His response was “those old rules of service are gone and would you expect me to stay open another hour costing $200 p/hour for your 1 glass of wine?” So that’s not the right answer to win customers over, it’s pathetic the hours last night were from 4-9 and they can’t even treat the customers right and stay open for 5 hours. I won’t be returning to Zarletti...
