Pizza Hut — Restaurant in Merced

I have had three pretty horrible experiences with this Pizza Hut. I swear I don't know why we went back after the first mess up. Like, really, don't order from this place.

First issue: Ordered around 2pm on a Wednesday. Took three hours to receive my food. Couldn't get ahold of anyone there so I called corporate. The person at corporate waited on hold with me for almost an hour till someone finally answered. This was Halloween, so i understand being busy...but answer the phone.

Second issue: Gave the girl our address and told her they needed to call when they get here because our house faces an alley and we have to open our garage door. She responded, "kinda sketchy, but ookaaay." So unprofessional. I talked to the manager and she was like oh yeah she shouldn't say that. No apology. We cancelled that order.

Third issue: Ordered online at 10:30pm. It said 30 minutes. Order arrived at 11:45pm, cold. I called them after an hour and was told that delivery is taking an hour to two hours right now because there's only one driver and he is taking four or five deliveries at a time. Again, no apology. We were obviously last since the driver left at 11 and got to our house 45 minutes later.

Pizza Hut, train your people on customer service! Seriously, no apology on any of these problems! No offer for compensation, no explanation that wasn't laced with sarcasm or indifference, nothing to show that they cared AT ALL that we were...

When we first entered this location, the girl behind the register was very pleasant and informative about the deals going on. We got this deal they had going on for the night; 2 large pizzas, breadsticks and a 2 L bottle of pop. We had come in exhausted from a hiking trip so all we asked was if we can replace the 2L bottle with 2 fountain drinks only because we were told we cannot open the 2 L bottle. What is the purpose of that then? We wanted to have our drink with our meal so we had her ask her manager who was just chilling on her phone. Cannot believe we got "no" for an answer. We didn't even get our bottle till we were leaving. I understand if your policy indicates not opening a 2L bottle, so the least you can do is accommodate based on your customers' needs.

Aside from the manager being so inconsiderate, THERE WAS HAIR IN MY PIZZA. We didn't change our pizza because we were starving and couldn't wait any longer but we were so disgusted. I feel so bad for the girl behind the register to have a manager like that. That poor girl seemed so helpless I def felt her pain when she told me she couldn't substitute that bottle of pop for our drinks.

Pizza Hut used to be my favorite fast food pizza joint. not anymore. Every time I order it now I feel like I'm ordering slop. Yesterday was no different. I ordered 2 pizzas. When I got the notification text that my delivery was on its way I knew that there was no way it was cooked long enough or else I was going to get a pizza that had been sitting there a while. Sure enough, both of my pizzas were soggy like they had not been cooked long enough. It looked like slop in the box. On one of my pizzas the toppings were not evenly dispersed on the pizza, some slices had plenty of pineapple and some had no pineapple. If there was any sauce on the pizza I could not find it. I ate 2 pieces and threw it in the trash. Nothing like spending money on food that makes you feel sick as soon as you eat. I"m done. I'm done trying to get a decent pizza from pizza hut. I won't be back. I'll do Papa Murphy's or Mountain Mike's. At least they don't charge crazy prices for utter slop. I'd rather pay more money and get good quality food.
