We have been visiting Meredith for 30 years and have always had a great experience until last Tues. Our waitress was extremely rude. My Monte Cristo sandwich was too soggy to eat., when I asked to send it back, she told me that French toast is soggy and " you poured syrup all over it", I had put syrup on my plate so I could dip my sandwich in it. When she took our bill and money, She never came back with our change, so we went up front to ask for it, and she practically threw it at us. She then went out back to the kitchen , when my husband counted the change, we were 10.00 short. When we told her that, she again was rude and told us that we should have waited at the table. She told me that maybe I should I should fill out an application. She clearly should have more training. She needs to learn how to make change as well. There were 4 people that came in while she was ranting and walked out. They told us when we walked out that they couldn't believe her behavior. Terrible service, not a people person. Worst...
Read moreI wish to choose my words carefully. If you have eaten at Sunshine and Pa's, and like it, well, you are welcome to return. Our collective (5 of us) experience left us all dumbfounded. Classic Hamburg - Child said it was "good". Fries were cold (she didn't order fries) she ordered onion rings (they brought her onion rings no charge) Texas Burger - Ordered Medium, overcooked, chewy and greasy. Boot leather put on a bun with a piece of lettuce and a small slice of tomato on top. BBQ sauce did not taste good at all. Corned Beef sandwich, order of 2. Out of corned beef so we opted for pastrami ruben. I suspect they added additional salt! toast was burned to the point that we were scraping the black off! Chicken Salad, chicken was chewy and lettuce did not appear to be fresh. Lemonade was good, onion rings were ok if you like thick batter on thin slices of onion. Over all rating is .5, Our waitress was super nice. We live here, will not go back, will not refer. Maybe, just maybe the cook called out sick and someone...
Read moreThis is a quaint little restaurant. The breakfast menu is great. They make a great eggs Benedict here. All the food was good according to our adult party 6. The coffee was hot and good. The food selection was wide. From pancake, omelets, eggs, muffins. From full course mult item meals to simple sandwiches. The only issue we found as a negative was the long wait for our food to cook. We were seated promptly. The waitress was sweet and quick to take our orders and serve us our drinks. But our actual meals took almost a full hour before it was served. Our food was good and was hot when it arrived. But waiting that extra long times chewed up into our sight seeing time. Had it been really busy we may have understood better but the place was emptied out pretty fast and fewer people were coming in. If you are not in a rush and would like a good breakfast, I would recommend going here. They have a good size menu to...
